    LTL Operations Controller

    Responsibilities

    • Coordinate the scheduling of vehicles and resources required to effectively cover all shifts to ensure service standards are achieved and sustainably maintained. .
    •  Assist with the analysis and review of delivery and transportation systems and networks while making recommendations for review by management
    • Ensure all incoming orders are processed and deal with branches and service partners regarding any queries that may be raised.
    •  Ensure that the distribution service level failures are reported on and highlighted for corrective action
    • Create highly valued relationships through professional engagement with external stakeholders in resolving queries, concerns, service failures, and challenges.
    •  Communicate freight transportation information to customers and other relevant stakeholders, using relevant systems to improve the efficiency, speed, and quality of transportation services
    •  Provide administrative support through the completing of daily reports, updates of missed deliveries and collections, and provide feedback on requests from customers
    •  Create a positive experience and atmosphere through the professional engagement with both internal and external contacts including dealing with direct enquiries in a courteous manner.
    •  Ability to work on fleet management systems and be able to do route planning.
    • Proactively monitor and ensure compliance of all relevant operational requirements and that all activities in the area of responsibility are compliant with company specific regulations

    Qualifications

    National Solutions Design Manager

    Responsibilities

    • Lead and support the operational work stream in the implementation of new business wins and operational change projects.
    • Work with the Operations teams and Business Development to support the verification of solution design and define operational processes and procedures.
    • Support in the management of Continuous Improvement initiatives.
    • Analysis and interpretation of data to design robust, fit for purpose operating solutions focusing on strategic sectors/services.
    • Manage a team of Solutions coordinators, project controllers and administrators to high performance outcomes for the team.

    Qualifications

    • Relevant degree or equivalent (BTech/BEng Degree Industrial Engineering or Bcom Logistics).
    • 2-5 years' experience in Logistics/Supply Chain Planning and Solution Design with focus on Contract Logistics/Warehousing. 
    • Minimum 5+ years in a management role in professional environment.
    • Confident in Presentation Skills – Internal and External.
    • Flair for innovation within the Supply Chain space.
    • Ability to develop individuals and establish a positive team dynamic.
    • Experience in improving business processes.
    • Quick thinking and ability to make decisions quickly with corrective action to ensure problems are overcome.
    • Experience with creating, analyzing and maintaining budgets.

    Warehouse Supervisor

    Responsibilities

    • Coordinate the movement and storage of stock in the warehouse including the routing of stock to the appropriate area, receipt and recording of accurately completed goods received vouchers, logging of inventory transactions and ensuring goods are safely stored.
    • Coordinate and organise the retrieval, filling of shipments, dispatch and delivery of goods whilst ensuring complete and accurate supporting documentation are in place and filed in order to ensure a high level of service delivery to clients.
    • Recommend and as appropriate implement measures including the use of lean operational practices to improve the quality of service, increasing efficiency of the warehouse, work crew and equipment performance.
    • Ensure client specifications are implemented and standard operating procedures and systems are maintained.
    • Develop, maintain and where relevant adjust work procedures to meet warehouse demands and implement plans to enhance and control the daily workflow of operations. 
    • Maintain a healthy, safe, clean and secure warehouse and work environment, identify any potential risks and implement precautionary measures to protect employees.
    • Measurement and reporting of the effectiveness of warehouse activities by developing and maintaining work instructions for all tasks including the dispatch, collection & safe delivery of goods.
    • Develop and establish relationships with internal teams such as sales, etc. and through these partnerships ensure seamless and quality service to the client.
    • Carry out the coaching, training, and leading of work teams to achieve performance as it relates to specialization in receiving, processing, storage, order assembly or loading.
    • Ensure compliance of all relevant legislative requirements and that all activities in the area of responsibility are compliant with company specific regulations.

    Qualifications

    • Matric/Grade 12 or Equivalent Required (Diploma advantageous)
    • 5 years’ experience in warehouse operations of which 3 years should have been in a supervisory capacity
    • Knowledge of warehouse management and transportation

    MHE Operator CL - Cape Town

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for accurate receiving, binning, picking and packing of stock items.
    • Accurate Location and Part Scanning as well as Secure Binning of all stock items.
    • Reporting of stock irregularities and possible problems. (Incorrect quantities, incorrect stock items, damaged stock, incorrectly bar-coded stock items etc).
    • Segregate and put away identified items required for quarantine.
    • Picks goods off shelves/storage area from the picking list or scanner against customer orders or product specifications.
    • Responsible for packing goods onto shelves/storage area (racks, bulk area, mez etc.).
    • Responsible for packing goods in the correct packaging into the correct areas/locations.
    • Checks picked orders against documentation and or scanner.
    • Packs items into cartons, etc., and ensures label documentation is correct.
    • Processing and scanning of stock movement using the Warehouse management systems.

    Qualifications

    • Grade 12 Senior Certificate or equivalent
    • Minimum of 2 years' experience in warehousing 
    • Minimum of 1 year experience in operating the specific MHE
    • Valid MHE License
    • Computer Literate

    • Housekeeping and maintaining of safe working conditions.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislative requirements and that all activities in the area of responsibility are compliant with company specific regulations.
    • Proper use of warehouse equipment/machinery in accordance with Safety and Health Act as well as in alignment with individual specific training as it relates to the use of such equipment/machinery.

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • Valid matric certificate / Grade 12 certificate or Equivalent 
    • At least 2 years warehousing / contract logistics experience
    • Basic computer skills

    Optional/Beneficial:

    • Valid MHE license
