    Production Team Leader

    Job Description

    • SplashOut has an exciting opportunity available for a Production Team Leader (Signage) to be based in Umhlanga, Durban. The successful incumbent will be responsible for seamless completion of the production process by monitoring production activity, identifying problems and effectively troubleshooting solutions.
    • Effectively supervise the day-to-day operational running within the production to ensure successful execution of jobs whilst maintaining wastage, cost and quality standards.
    • Ensure that there is compliance with all policies and procedures with strict adherence to control measures and health and safety requirements.

    Minimum requirements

    • Driver's License
    • 3 years management / supervisory experience

    Responsibilities:
    Operational Function

    • Ensure that the artwork and layout of the designs are set up correctly and as per the client approval.
    • Effectively control the running of the production line and processes.
    • Ensuring service delivery times are met according to the customer requirements.
    • Responsible for the production process from start to end.
    • Ensure that all materials are readily available for the production process.
    • Ensure that maintenance and cleaning of the machines are done timeously.

    Quality Controller

    Job Description

    • SplashOut has an exciting opportunity available for a Quality Controller to be based in Umhlanga, Durban. The successful incumbent responsible for maintaining and administering the quality function in the signage (and related) sectors. The quality controller will manage and maintain the quality standards of orders or related items through the production cycle or workflow through the various departments, this includes (but is not limited to), digital printing, large format printing, finishing, fabrication, and installations. The quality controller will be responsible for approving all items prior to dispatch.

    Minimum requirements: 

    • 3 to 5 years' experience in similar role
    • Valid Driver’s License

    Responsibilities: 

    Quality Control

    • Responsible for the effective management and administration of the quality control function in the following departments (but not limited to):
    • Print Room: ensure that all media and substrates conform to the required specifications. Printed items conform to the required size, colour and colour consistency etc.
    • Finishing: ensure items are completed according to the customer or application requirements, this may include (but not limited to), lamination, trimming, engraving, welding, stitching and installation of fittings and components and other related finishing requirements within the signage industry.
    • Fabrication: ensure all fabricated items are completed to the required specifications, this may include (but not limited to), manufacturing of steel, aluminum, and wood frames. Heat and channel bending. Various types and styles of signage, light boxes, and activations.
    • The quality controller is to work with the Production Team Leader to maintain industry norms and standards, quality management systems and quality audits.
    • The quality controller will be responsible for recording and reporting any deviations to the Production Leader, this may include completing or drafting specific records, paperwork and/or registers along with the required corrective measures.
    • The quality controller will be required to create, implement, maintain and/or edit standard operating procedures and policies to conform to current or future requirements.
    • Familiarity with relevant quality-related manufacturing methodologies and utilization of this knowledge to improve business processes.
    • Assist with Adhoc tasks in the respective business unit.

    Compliance

    • Ensuring that required systems, procedures and policies are accurately documented and maintained.
    • Monitor and conduct regular quality audits to ensure all aspects of the factory processes comply with the required quality standards.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams or departments to ensure strict adherence to the company's quality standards, targets and expectations.
    • Identify risks and implement mitigating actions and processes.

    • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data.

The successful incumbent will be responsible for analyzing a request and preparing a quotation, taking into account time, labor, materials etc. Provide the customer with adequate information within the quote or proposal to make an informed decision and put forward alternatives or suggestions that meet the customer requirements.

    Minimum requirements: 

    • Valid Driver’s License

    Responsibilities: 

    Operational Function

    • Review and analyze complex requests received by customers to prepare and provide a quotation, taking into account materials, labor cost, time etc.
    • Provide suitable alternatives or suggestions to the customer based on the request with comprehensive information being supplied for the customer to make an informed decision. Look at multiple ways to execute a job and provide quotations to the customer.
    • Evaluate all methods available for producing a job and provide quotes based on the most economical method.
    • Liaise closely with the Production Team Leader on production capabilities and optimal production processes to meet the customer deadlines.
    • Provide quote revisions based on any changes.
    • Perform job cost analysis to ensure the pricing offered is competitive and in line with the business standards.

    Maintenance Supervisor

    • SplashOut has an exciting opportunity available for a Maintenance Supervisor to be based in Umhlanga, Durban. The successful incumbent will effectively and efficiently manage machine maintenance within the SplashOut business. Ensure that there is compliance with all policies and procedures and strict adherence to internal / external controls. Ensure achievement of company’s strategic objectives, goal plans and targets.
