    Distribution Proposition & Governance Specialist

    Job Description

    • Old Mutual Personal Financial Advice (PFA) is a leading financial advice business, committed to innovation, excellence, and customer satisfaction. We are looking for a dedicated and dynamic Distribution Proposition and Governance Specialist to join our team and drive our value proposition initiatives to new heights.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Governance:

    Risk & Management Controls:

    • Implement effective risk and management controls.
    • Adopt management actions to mitigate failed audit issues.
    • Manage audit, risk, and compliance events.
    • Provide support in relation to complaints and other investigations as required.

    Compliance:

    • Manage a line 1 compliance officer.
    • Maintain the Distribution risk profile and escalate material risk.
    • Monitor and assess impact of new regulation on the distribution channel.

    Operational Tasks:

    • Operationalize, adopt, and maintain PFA Referral Models.
    • Ensure PFA representation, alignment, and strategic direction in respect of persistency, retention, and NCCF.
    • Effective management of the various forums in PFA i.e. Terms of references, minutes of meeting, agendas etc.
    • Stakeholder
    • Maintain effective relationships with all assurance providers.
    • Collaborate and support the Provincial General Managers.
    • Management
    • Provide support and guidance to the Distribution Compliance officer.

    Adviser Value Proposition Development and Implementation:

    • Develop and act as custodian of the financial adviser and customer value propositions.
    • Determine accreditation and assessment hurdles for financial advisers.
    • Entrench the framework of the business model.
    • Review critical elements of the value proposition and engage with relevant partners to address identified gaps.
    • Ensure the effective implementation of value propositions.
    • Monitor and report on implementation progress.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • BCom/ Business/Commerce related qualifications
    • A FAIS related qualification will be advantageous.
    • Proven experience in developing and implementing value propositions.
    • Strong understanding of sales processes and adviser roles.
    • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

    MFC Sales Manager

    Job Description

    • This role manages a sales team and distribution strategy and is accountable for the sales targets and profitability of the team, over periods of up to a year.
    • The position has been identified as a FAIS position and falls within the ambit contemplated by FAIS related to Category B. The successful candidates must therefore comply with all FAIS requirements, including the Fit and Proper requirements of Honesty and Integrity (e.g. be clear of any offence relating to fraud, dishonesty and/or any professional misconduct) as well as competence and relevant qualifications.
    • Manages sales & expense budget for a sales team in a branch against set targets.
    • Responsible for distribution strategy of products within a branch.
    • Accountable for local marketing.
    • Identifies & creates coordinated sales opportunities.
    • Responsible for external networking & relationship building with key door openers.
    • Ensures delivery of customer value.
    • Manages, develops, appoints & trains sales advisors.

    Requirements:

    •  Gr12 (Matric)
    •  FSCA Approved NQF Level 5 Qualification
    •  FAIS Compliant
    •  Product category experience (Long term Insurance subcategory B1, Long term Insurance subcategory B2 and Retail pension benefit)
    •  CPD – Continuous Professional Development – All cycles
    •  COB – Class of Business
    •  A valid Driver’s licence and your own car
    •  A clear criminal and credit check
    •  Proven computer literacy (MS Office suite)
    •  Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
    •  Previous Managerial experience
    •  Knowledge and exposure to Group Schemes advantageous
    •  (Internal) Successful completion of MODP (This applies for applicants who have previously worked for Old Mutual)
    •  (External) Managerial qualification – advantageous

    Preference will be given to suitably qualified candidates in line with the Employment Equity Plan of Old Mutual South Africa and the specific business unit in question.
