    Access Controller

    Job Description

    • The purpose of this position is to monitor and control access to the NCMO site to ensure adherence to Onboarding Processes, SHEQ and other organisational and client requirements.

    Qualification Requirements

    • Grade 12

    Experience and Skills Requirements

    • Minimum 2 - 3 years’ experience in an access control environment
    • Computer Literate in MS Office and other related operational software
    • SHEQ requirements applicable at the site

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Receive all visitors and contractors to determine their access control needs and process access requests according to client and organisational procedures
    • Accurately control and issue Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to all visitors and contractors where required
    • Capture all new employees onto the system and issue access cards according to Company procedure
    • Check the medical assessment register on a weekly basis to ensure that all employee inductions and all medicals are up to date
    • Communicate with the respective Superintendents to inform them of expired inductions or medicals
    • Check the all contractors’ induction and medical records prior to entering the plant on a daily basis
    • Conduct induction training to all contractors as / when required
    • Check and ensure that all contractors comply with the following: letter of good standing, copy of ID, Red ticket; training certificate/s; risk assessments and work instructions prior to entering the plant
    • Ensure that all visitors complete the visitor’s entry permit prior to entry and that they wear the relevant PPE
    • Ensure that all delivery personnel complete the visitor entry permit and that they sign the induction agreement prior to allowing entrance to the plant
    • Compile various reports according to organisational requirements

    Production Artisan – Millwright (Shift)

    Job Description

    • The purpose of this position is to diagnose and maintain machinery and equipment according to technical specification and sound engineering practice.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Investigate, diagnose and perform trade related maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery according to the maintenance requirements, standards and specifications
    • Perform daily inspections in accordance with the Mine Health and Safety Act regulations, operational and company standards to report all defects and breakdowns on equipment and machinery to the Supervisor
    • Develop, modify, construct and install all types of trade related equipment required for the safe operation of all engineering equipment
    • Ensure that all installations and equipment are safe and in good working order after task completion
    • Continuously monitor equipment failure and efficiency to improve trade specific equipment and systems
    • Consult with production teams on maintenance activities that effects production
    • Supports the achievement of engineering availability and production performance levels
    • Ensure that maintenance related information is recorded and reported to the relevant planning office to support the maintenance of the planned/asset maintenance system
    • Attend to shift handover by attending to previous shift information and schedule shift resources accordingly
    • Performs visual inspections of work area to identify problems and report to shift supervisor
    • Monitor production according to shift targets
    • Supervise and maintain a high standard of housekeeping
    • Provide maintenance support to engineering department
    • Ensure the adherence to the specified process parameters within the respective sections and implement corrective actions accordingly
    • Identify causes of spillage in the plant and generate a suggestion to minimise the spillage.
    • Continuously monitor equipment failure and efficiency
    • Report breakdowns to the shift supervisor
    • Investigate and attend to visible process related maintenance problems, e.g. replacement of screens, idlers etc. where engineering is not required
    • Communicate with supervisors and process/engineering co-workers to inform on work in progress and condition of machinery/equipment.
    • Monitor adherence by contractors to agreed scope of work according to service level agreement.
    • Ensure adherence to engineering quality standards in maintenance of equipment and machinery.

    Qualification Requirements

    • Valid Section 13 / Section 26 (D) Trade Test Certificate required
    • Valid driver’s license code B, EB or C1
    • Own transport to attend to call outs

    Experience and Skills Requirements

    • A minimum of 4-5 years’ experience as a qualified Millwright in a mineral processing plant or similar environment is required
    • English language proficiency
    • Time management skills
