    Data Capturer - Rustenburg

    Description

    • The purpose of this position is to assist with recruitment, onboarding/offboarding employees and capturing the employee documents on the systems in place at Ensersa.

    Duties and Responsibilities: 

    • SHEQ Department Data Capturing
    • Capturing information on the Isometrix System (Events, PTOs, etc.)
    • Capturing information on Minocore (Suggestions)
    • Scanning and filling safety information
    • Capturing Equipment certificates
    • Training Department Data Capturing
    • Capturing all training registers on the monthly training report
    • Compiling, scanning (Upload on SharePoint), and filling training packs
    • Capturing information on HSEC Online

    Qualification Requirements:

    • Grade 12

    Laboratory Assistant - Rustenburg

    Description

    • The purpose of this position is to assist in the sampling or collection and preparation of samples to obtain accurate results in order to monitor the performance and achievements of objectives in the organisation

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Ensure compliance with Minopex Health and Safety responsibilities.
    • Identify hazards and risks while performing daily tasks and maintenance and take preventative measures.
    • Comply with provided systems, practices, methods, standards and procedures of the job.
    • Adhere to lock out procedures at all times.
    • Comply with legal and operational requirements.
    • Carry out visual inspection of the working area to ensure workplace safety.
    • Ensure compliance to statutory legislation and organisational requirements.
    • Perform routine sampling or collection of samples in operational areas.
    • Perform routine preparation of samples (crushing, pulverizing, filtering, rolling, splitting and drying).
    • Perform sieve sizing analyses on samples as part of sample preparation.
    • Inspection and first line fault finding of sampling equipment.
    • Daily inspection, cleaning and unblocking of sampling equipment and spillages caused by sampling equipment.
    • Cleaning of all laboratory equipment and instruments.
    • Completing sample checklists and logging of samples on the system.
    • Marking and labelling of sample tags and sample containers.
    • Storing of samples according to specifications and colour codes.

    Qualification Requirements

    • Grade 12

    Experience and Skills Requirements

    • Minimum 1 years’ experience in sample preparation in a laboratory is required
    • Knowledge of and good understanding of the basic concepts of sample preparation, e.g. contamination, representative sample and integrity of a sample etc.

    Laboratory Supervisor - Rustenburg

     

    Description

    • The purpose of this position is to be responsible for the effective Supervision of the entire Laboratory shift operation to ensure all Laboratory processes are operational, controlled and maintained. Metallurgical project work and plant optimization will be a major part of the job function

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Make sure that laboratory systems and equipment comply with General best practice
    • Record, report and interpret analytical data
    • Check documents, methods and procedures
    • Check work of colleagues where necessary
    • Train junior and contract staff in analytical methodologies
    • Perform document, record checks, and troubleshooting
    • Prepare all routine plant samples and metallurgical project samples
    • Ensure that any special test work, project work and plant optimization projects are scoped and conducted according to project specifications and standards
    • Project reports to be submitted and presented to relevant forums that may include the client and professional organizations
    • Ensure that the laboratory is prepared for research to be conducted and running smoothly and safely at all times
    • Implement and update procedures as and when necessary
    • Responsible for ensuring optimized functionality of all lab equipment per shift at all times
    • Co-ordinate and monitor equipment availability to ensure adherence to production parameters
    • Ensure the adherence to the sampling and sample preparation procedures from the point where the sample comes into the lab up to the point where it leaves the lab
    • Oversee safety programs for assigned sections per shift and work groups; assists with action planning for safety programs
    • Perform administrative duties per shift to ensure record accuracy and availability, and budget compliance
    • Stay up to date with relevant literature pertaining to metallurgical process improvements.
    • Compile various metallurgical production – reports for distribution to Process Superintendent and Plant Manager.

    Qualification Requirements

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering
    • Computer Literate in MS Office
    • Valid driver’s license code B, EB or C1.

    Experience and Skills Requirements

    • 2 years experiences in process plant environment and completion of relevant metallurgical training program
    • 3 years’ experience in a metallurgical laboratory is required
    • Supervisory experience will be an advantage.
    • English Language Proficiency
    • Knowledge of Laboratory Equipment
    • Knowledge of the chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations that they undergo. This includes uses of chemicals and their interactions, danger signs, production techniques, and disposal methods

    Lead Process Engineer - Aggeneys

    Description

    • This position is responsible to render a comprehensive process engineering service on projects / investigations across various sites and to manage the technical activities to identify opportunities and deliver technical solutions to ensure that the production process is safe, while maximising quality production and analysing and improving processing systems.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Ensure compliance with the Company’s Health and Safety responsibilities
    • Responsible for the planning, controlling and co-ordination of process engineering activities, to ensure optimal utilisation of resources
    • Evaluates process feasibility and economic studies and assists other disciplines as far as process design is concerned
    • Coordinates with operations and maintenance personnel in order to ensure that plant performance is optimized with regard to throughput, recoveries and product quality
    • Monitors, investigates and analyses plant performance to ensure continuous improvement and maximum operational efficiencies
    • Conducts research and development with the aim to improve process efficiencies, methods, and deliver a quality product
    • Provides process engineering and technical expertise on the plant
    • Conducts process evaluations and develops process concepts
    • Oversee the drafting of P&IDs and PFDs
    • Helps with the technical adjudication of process plant equipment
    • Understands technical issues and challenges, able to write proposals / scopes of work, process design criteria including PFD’s and P&IDs, scheduling and managing test work, analysing data, and compiling metallurgical reports
    • Manage and / or mentor process engineers and metallurgists
    • Project Management
    • Analyzes the project technical documents to validate consistency between the budget, resources, and means allocated for the work completed and the targets to be met.
    • Identify project hot spots, criticalities, and activity priorities.
    • Identify and executes cost reduction and production optimisation initiatives

    Qualification Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering

    Experience and Skills Requirements

    • 10 years’ hands on experience in process engineering from a design and operating perspective
    • Management experience
    • Project Management
    • Experience maximising plant performance and reducing bottlenecks in the production process
    • Research and Development experience
    • Base metal processing experience will be an advantage
    • Strong problem solving skills
    • English language proficiency
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills
    • Time management skills
