    Analyst: Costing

    About the role

    • Our ideal candidate would have exposure to banking or financial services. In this role you will be required to provide commercial analytical support to business decision makers, through your analysis of financial and non-financial data and identifying opportunities to improve financial outcomes and hold product heads accountable for their cost structures and their return generated thereon. You will also be responsible for establishing and running a fully functional activity-based costing (ABC) models and setting the internal transfer pricing strategy.

    What you will bring

    • A completed degree in commerce; Management Accounting/Financial Management/Financial Accounting.  Along with exposure to Activity Based Costing, Budgeting, Forecasting and Performance Management, Financial Modelling and Data Manipulation.

    Purpose Statement

    To provide specialist expertise and enable proactive and effective risk identification, assessment and management in Operations through:

    • Developing and running the implementation of operational risk policies, frameworks and standards 
    • Develop risk management practices designed to identify risk exposures at a process level
    • Effectively implementing risk assessment practices so that management can be provided with accurate risk information for effective decision-making on internal controls. 
    • Collecting risk information and drafting reports to stakeholders on risk exposures. 

    Experience

    Forensic Investigator II

    About the role

    • Guided by the Manager of Forensic Investigations or the Manager of Insurance Fraud Operations, you will investigate various fraud-related risks within Capitec. This includes external fraud, such as credit application fraud for Capitec Bank and policyholder or claims fraud for Capitec Insurance, as well as internal fraud, serious policy and procedure breaches, and criminal syndicates. You will examine each case thoroughly, identify involved parties, and gather evidence suitable for disciplinary hearings and/or criminal proceedings. Additionally, you will pinpoint control weaknesses and recommend preventative measures, improvements, and training initiatives to mitigate potential fraud. Your responsibilities will also include planning and conducting detailed investigations, recovering losses, and providing evidence for disciplinary and criminal proceedings. You will produce detailed internal and external reports, liaise with law enforcement, and maintain financial crime databases. Additionally, you will support real-time fraud-related inquiries, testify in court and disciplinary hearings, and conduct fraud awareness training.

    Key Performance Areas

    • Investigating fraudulent activities.
    • Implementing fraud/theft preventative measures.
    • Identification, monitoring and proactive investigation of criminal syndicate activities.

    Software Test Specialist

    Purpose Statement

    • To enable software quality assurance through ownership of the end-to-end testing process by creating a set of activities and scenarios, manual or automated, ensuring that developed software meets and complies with the defined or standardised quality specifications within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
    • To collaborate with the Business Analysts to define test scenarios, and prepare, participate in, and oversee the execution of test cases within a feature team, the validation of functional and non-functional test requirements, the preparation of test data in terms of input and expected outcome data, and required test environments.

    Education (Minimum)

    • Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational
    • A relevant tertiary qualification in Software Testing or Information Technology

    Education (Ideal or Preferred)

    • National Diploma in Information Technology

    Knowledge and Experience

    Minimum:

    • Understand the end-to-end processes being tested to achieve successful testing
