    Group Reporting And Financial Accountant

    Job Specification:

    • Monthly reporting and accounting:
      • Preparation of all consolidation monthly entries
      • Prepare the monthly Early estimation documents and income statements
      • Prepare the full month-end reporting pack with all relevant workings and support
      • Assist with answering queries on monthly results and reports
      • Preparation of Loadshedding schedules
      • Preparation of any additional monthly reports
    • Quarterly reporting and accounting:
      • Preparation of all consolidation quarterly entries
      • Preparation of all additional quarterly reports
      • Assist with answering queries on quarterly results 
    • Year-end reporting and accounting:
      • Preparation of any additional year-end accounting entries required for group and consolidation
      • Preparation of year-end reporting pack with comparatives and additional disclosures
      • Preparation of additional reporting requirements for year end
      • Assist with answering queries on yearly results
    • Dividends:
      • Solvency and liquidity work papers
      • Accounting entries and arranging for payments
      • Assist with declarations to SARS
    • Any ad hoc requests / schedules / queries from AVI or internally
    • Continuous maintenance and improvement of templates and standard operating procedures.
    • Ad-hoc Finance related assistance on various projects that arise in the ordinary course of business to be dealt with effectively and promptly – Assisting all business units across the Group.
    • Assist with deregistrations of entities and accounting work
    • Audits:
      • Assist with external audit requests and process
      • Assist with internal audit requests and requirements
      • Assist with Information for BBEEE audits
      • Preparation of representation letters and additional questionnaires
    • Forecast and budget process:
      • Quarterly and yearly budget process and full pack preparations & supporting work papers 
    • Annual Financial Statements:
      • Preparation of all entities’ AFS on Draftworx with supporting documentation
      • To address all review notes internally (from FM and FD), and from auditors & AVI
      • Preparation of related party schedules and support
      • Assist with all finalization documentation
      • Calculate PIS scores for each entity and report to company secretary
      • Conversions of AFS in Draftworx to XBRL format 
    • Board packs:
      • Assist in preparation of work papers, support and presentation slides
    • Sagers submissions and support to assist with
    • STATS SA submissions and questionnaires to complete
    • Direct and indirect taxes:
      • Assist Tax accountant in busy times with tax and deferred taxes (especially half year-end, year end, and provisional taxes with tight deadlines)
      • Back-up for full Tax accountant position when needed

    Minimum Requirements:

    Experience:

    • SAIPA or SAICA articles with 3 – 5 years post article experience in a reporting / financial accountant role
    • Or 4 – 6 years over all experience in reporting and Accounting 

    Qualifications:

    • Bcom Accounting Degree at a University
    • CA (SA) would be advantageous 

    Additional requirements:

    • Draftworx would be an advantageous
    • Experience in preparation of income tax returns, VAT returns, provisional tax returns, dividend tax returns and carbon tax returns would be advantageous
    • SAP advantageous
    • Advanced Excel
    • BI reporting advantageous

    Recruitment Administrator

    Job Description
    This role will report directly into the Senior Recruiter responsible for the Spitz Group Footwear and Apparel (Retail) business unit. The Recruitment Administrator will be required to manage all administration and co-ordination related to retail recruitment.  They will assist the Senior Recruiter with advertising, screening, setting up interviews, document collection and filing, running risk checks, conducting references and drafting Letters of Offer. They will also assist with other administration related to recruitment as and when required.

    Minimum Requirements:        

    • Matric / National Senior Certificate (Non-negotiable)
    • Human Resources or Psychology and Communication related Qualification (Completed or in progress) would be advantageous.
    • Minimum 1 year bulk recruitment (Retail, Supply Chain, FMCG) experience & some exposure to recruitment and sourcing would be advantageous
    • Minimum 1-2 year experience in a high volume administration role
    • Microsoft Office proficiency; specifically on Excel is preferential
    • Minor exposure to Human Resources or Labour law for compliance purposes will be advantageous

    Job Specification:

    Recruitment Support

    • Advertising vacancies on internal and external portals
    • Source and screen resume’s as requested by Senior Recruiter
    • Co-ordinate interviews for retail vacancies
    • Processing of packs for part time workers, students, learners or other retail vacancies, including risk checks and references
    • Conducting accurate and detailed references for casual staff and other candidates as required by the Recruitment Team
    • Drafting and processing appointment letters for retail as required
    • Have a comprehensive understanding of the AVI recruitment policies and procedures
    • Manage candidates in the recruitment process, keeping accurate records of processed candidates and ensuring that updates are done timeously and accurately on the ERP system and internal recruitment report
    • Accurate electronic filing of all candidate documents to adhere to audit requirement
    • Ensure accurate tracking of records relating to process, including system job updates and recruitment status reporting
    • Manage the retail recruitment mailbox
    • Adhoc recruitment related duties as required
