    Buyer - Modderfontein

    Your role and responsibilities

    • In this role, you will have the opportunity to purchase materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule, and terms. Each day, you will ensure purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying new suppliers in cooperation with the relevant category team.
    • This role is contributing to the Procurement and Logistic department ( PAEN Division) within the South African Cluster.

    You will be mainly accountable for:

    • Identification and qualification of new suppliers in line with business requirements.
    • Negotiates agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renews price lists and terms and conditions.
    • Adapts global contractual framework to the local business needs.
    • Recommends frame agreements to management and executes upon approval.
    • Execute RFQs timeously and negotiate for best price in tendering phase and execution phase.
    • Analyzes and evaluates bids in order to determine the optimal value.
    • Supports bid and proposal teams by providing relevant market information.
    • Tracks goods received to verify appropriate delivery and ensure invoice processing.
    • Oversees supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, lead time), and resolves performance issues.
    • Initiates Purchase Orders (PO) in the system, according to the purchase requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures, and confirms delivery with suppliers, monitors, and tracks supplier performance to PO requirements.
    • Aligns supplier orders with customer requirements (based on ERP or Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)/project requirements) in terms of content, quality, delivery, sustainability, and price.
    • Ensures the SAP Ariba platform is updated as defined in the procedure.
    • Knowledge in warehouse management

    Qualifications for the role

    • 3-year qualification Diploma / Degree within Supply Chain Management or similar
    • 3-5 years’ experience in Procurement.
    • SAP Experience is required.
    • Experience preferably within the Energy Industry.
    • CIPS level 4 + is an added advantage.
    • Preference will be given to disable EE candidates.
    • Ability to work independently.

    Service Coordinator - Modderfontein

    Your role and responsibilities

    • Coordinate Service work and ensure it complies with ABB's and customer's standards, procedures and policies. Single point of contact for the customer during the execution of a Service job.
    • The work model for the role is: Office based
    • This role is contributing to the Electrification in the Service Business.

    You will be mainly accountable for:

    • Single point for customer: Builds and maintains sustainable relationship with customer. Manages customer requirements and customer enquiries. Ensures continuous communication.
    • Coordination: Quote, Coordinates, plans, schedules and oversees all LV Spare Service jobs with necessary resources, spare parts and logistics for site.
    • Contract management: Manages customer satisfaction by ensuring that ABB fulfils its contractual obligations and business requirements. Ensures the required quality is delivered and the health, safety and environmental issues are competently managed. Reviews the scope of the work and ensures that all parties fulfil their contractual obligations, particularly in regard to claims and changes.
    • Service order process: Manages the Service order process in a timely manner from quotation to invoicing and cash collection. Ensure timelines are met in terms of on time delivery.
    • Reporting and documentation: Manages all required reporting and documentation. Ensures all necessary data has been registered in a timely manner in the system.
    • One ABB: Cooperates and coordinates activities with other ABB units and teams to harmonize Service activities and to maximize Service sales at every opportunity. Ensures the transfer of Service findings to the product/system Local Business Units for improvement of their offerings

    Qualifications for the role

    • Diploma in Electrical Engineering
    • Ability to demonstrate your experience in SAP quotation.

    Channel Manager - Modderfontein

    Your role and responsibilities

    • In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and maintain a highly effective sales channel strategy for a specified market (global/regional) to improve ABB’s market penetration and achieve its growth aspirations. Each day, you will plan and ensure the execution of the business area/division sales strategy to achieve both qualitative and quantitative targets for the assigned channel in a profitable way with a focus on orders, revenues, growth, margin, market share, sales productivity, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by leading, developing, and coaching the related Channel Sales organization.
    • The work model for the role is: Onsite
    • This role is contributing to the Process Automation in Longmeadow.

    You will be mainly accountable for:

    • Implement the agreed channel sales strategy and budget.
    • Contribute to the identification & achievement of appropriate channels and targets.
    • Contribute to achieving key targets (e.g. volume, prices, mix) for the channel in the specified countries and segments.
    • Create detailed business plans, implement actions with regular follow-up.
    • Contribute independently to sales negotiations and negotiate frame agreements.
    • Identify and evaluate channel partners (as per agreed ABB policies and standards including digital and excitation), together with Sales Director & appoint them..
    • Regularly report progress against channel strategy, plans and budgets.
    • Conduct analyses on channel activity and takes ownership for solving problems
    • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales teams and execute those activities that require channel/segment partner participation.
    • Implement the planned communication, promotion and training activities in the channel/segment.
    • Customer relations: Drive strategic partnerships, develop personal relationships with partners, customers and other decision makers.

    Qualifications for the role

    • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Marketing
    • 5 -10 years’ experience in Process Automation and exposure working with Channel Partners.
    • Strong experience in Energy and Process Industries.
    • Proficiency in MS Office
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Preference will be given to EE candidates.
