    Internal Auditor

    Job description

    Main Purpose

    To ensure financial procedures are in place to minimize risk for Volvo Group SA within the boundaries of commercial viability and then to audit and monitor all areas for compliance to procedures and to continuously follow up.

    Job Objectives

    • To analyze information flows and map financial processes to understand these processes and thereby determine risk exposures of the Business.
    • To review current financial procedures to ensure risk is minimized and create new procedures where gaps are identified. This needs to be done within the boundaries of commercial viability.
    • To educate relevant company officers ( Snr Managers) in the procedures and periodically audit market brands (Volvo Group SA), Volvo Owned Dealerships, GTO, Volvo Logistics for compliance to financial procedures.
    • To prepare reports on the state of compliance to financial procedures highlighting areas of non-compliance and assessing the degree of risk for the Business – high to low.
    • Ensuring that activity plans are drawn up by auditees, after reports have been presented to the Management Team, to close out areas of non-compliance to financial procedures. If necessary modify financial procedure if enforcement is not practical.
    • To liaise with AB Volvo corporate audit, arrange meetings and ensure reported items from AB Volvo are closed out.
    • To liaise with external auditors – PWC – with particular reference to matters raised in their management letters.

    Education

    • B.Com Accounting (essential).
    • ACCA or CIMA or SAIPA or CIA (desirable).
    • MCom/MBA/MBL (desirable).
    • CA (advantageous).

    Job Experience

    • 3 Year Financial Accounting experience (essential).
    • 1 Year Internal Auditing experience (essential).
    • 2 Year Financial Manager experience (desirable).

    Job Knowledge

    • Thorough understanding of accounting cycles.
    • Purchase – order to creditor payment.
    • Sales – order to debt collection.
    • Inventory Accounting.
    • Payroll (Salaries + Benefits).
    • Cash book.
    • Fixed assets.
    • Thorough understanding of T accounts – DRs & CRs.
    • Ability to determine risk areas.

    Sales Director UD Trucks Hub SA

    The main purpose of the job is to take responsibility of all sales activities within UD Trucks Southern Africa in line with Company Business Plan.

    Reporting: This position will report to the Managing Director UD Trucks Hub SA.

    Job Objectives

    • Compiling the Sales strategy and Sales plan in order to reach the Company goals towards sales volumes and profitability.
    • Manage the Customer profile by establishing a strategy to lead the Sales Team towards a ‘Customer Centric Company’
    • Inventory management through proper Dealer and Customer forecasting.
    • To manage marketing activities in line with sales targets.
    • To analyse market trends, segmentation and competitor’s information to identify opportunities to grow the UD Trucks South Africa’s market share.
    • To develop a strong Sales team to support the Dealer network and Customers.
    • To lead, coach and mentor the Sales team to ensure best sales results.

    Qualifications

    • Tertiary qualification – Degree or Diploma in Sales & Marketing.
    • Degree or Diploma in Road Transport Act.

    Job Experience

    • 10 years’ experience in Heavy Commercial Industry.
    • 5 years’ experience at a Senior Manager level in the Heavy Commercial Industry.
    • 5 years’ experience in OEM (Desirable).

    Job Knowledge

    • Knowledge of the Truck Industry.
    • Financial acumen (Structuring of deals).
    • Technical specifications of products.
    • Relevant legislation (Compulsory specifications, NRTA,FICA and NCA).
    • Understanding of Transport logistics.
    • Knowledge of Sales principles.
    • Budgetary control and accounting.
    • Collaboration with other stakeholders.
