    HR Officer - Crown Bag (Pty) Ltd, Harrismith

    Job Description

    Responsible for ensuring that all the administrative functions are performed accurately, concisely, timely and according to standard operating procedures.

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 Equivalent.
    • An HR-related certificate/ qualification will be an advantage.
    • A minimum of 2 years HR admin experience.
    • Demonstrable Computer literacy: Excel, Word and Outlook.
    • Working knowledge of Payroll Systems will be an advantage.
    • Working knowledge of biometric clocking systems & time sheets.
    • Previous experience in a FMCG/ manufacturing environment desirable.
    • Experience within a Payroll environment will be an advantage.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Maintaining and updating People System.
    • Process leave on ESS and ensure it is approved by relevant line managers.
    • Process claims on ESS and forward for approval.
    • Scanning of all Crown Bag's Payroll Forms and other HR documents.
    • Short Hours & Unpaid Leave: capturing and sending it to Payroll for processing.
    • Assisting employees with applications for staff accounts & personal loans.
    • Administer the time sheets by printing, dispatch to Farm Services and Service Department for verification and return for correction.
    • Process all pay queries, handle exceptions on timesheets and forward to Payroll for processing.
    • Ensure all responsibilities are carried out in accordance with HR Company Standards.
    • Perform any other duties as may be expected by management.

    Quality Supervisor - Grain Field Chickens Abattoir, Reitz

    Job Description

    To ensure quality control measures and processes are followed on the shift, including quality checks and recordings by the Quality Controllers (PMI’s), as well as ensuring all injection measurements and internal quality control audits are done.

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 equivalent.
    • Valid PMI certificate is required.
    • A Quality-related qualification will be an advantage.
    • Minimum 5 years’ supervisory experience required.
    • Experience within a poultry abattoir/ FMCG environment preferred.

    Duties and responsibilities

    • Observe and evaluate the performance of workers to ensure conformance to processing/ production requirements and standards.
    • Checking of metal detectors.
    • Coordinate production start-ups, shutdowns and changeovers in line with company policies.
    • Ensure inspections and checks are done for all areas under your control – including all QC checks.
    • Product checks/ inspections must be done to prevent consumer complaints.
    • Ensure daily Reject Report is completed in full.
    • Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks.
    • Ensure that all SHEQ requirements are adhered to at all times and take necessary corrective action when needed.
    • Ensure all employees under your supervision are trained in food safety and meat inspection.
    • Ensure housekeeping standards are up to 20-Key level.
    • Monitor the performance of team members to ensure efficiencies are achieved.
    • Monitor timekeeping and absenteeism and handle employee problems and queries.
    • Take corrective action in the form of counselling and/ or coaching when performance and behavior is not in accordance with the required targets and code of conduct.
    • Ensure all employees attend inductions and other training program as per the organizational requirements.
    • Perform any other duties as may be required by line manager.
