    Quantity Surveying/ Estimator - Fixed Term Contractor

    Job Description

    HSEQ:

    •  Compliance with the OHS Act of 1993 (Asbestos, Construction, Electrical Installation, Environmental etc)
    •  Ensure adherence of TMSA HSEQ procedures by contractors and staff.
    •  Provide assurance on HSEQ and take corrective action in your area of responsibility.
    • Duties & Responsibilities:  Analyzing project specific cost plans and recommending preferred option
    •  Developing projects estimates for business cases
    •  Developing of internal costs bench marking tools
    •  Cost optimization
    •  Researching, sourcing, negotiating and controlling project costs during the project lifecycle
    •  Setting up of bills of quantities for all projects sectors  Tracking and validating variations orders  Lead cost optimization initiatives
    •  Manage the industry standard JBCC conditions and align them to the company’s standard Mater Service level agreements.
    • Tenders:
    •  Assist in preparing document submission in specified format & prepare Tender Document for signature.
    •  Assist category specific BOQs.
    •  Contributes to feasibility study before a tender document is acquired or filled in.
    •  Attending tender and project specific site briefings.

    • The jobholder is accountable for providing support in researching, sourcing, negotiating and obtaining prices that are market related and competitive  KPI: Specifications, competitive bidding submissions, submissions that are market related, cost reductions

    Candidate profile

    •  Qualification: Degree /B tech in quantity surveying or Similar  previous experience in quantity surveying  Estimating experience
    •  Knowledge of civil, mechanical, electrical and architectural practices & principles
    •  English is the working language
    •  Good knowledge of JBCC contract conditions
    •  Experience in Tender negotiations
    •  Good knowledge of building practices
    •  Analytical thinking skills

    Draughtsman - Fixed Term Contract

    Job Description

    HSEQ:

    •  Provide assurance on HSEQ and take corrective action in your area of responsibility.
    • Drawing Office Services
    •  To prepare site layouts, sketch plans and detailed working drawings for retail technical projects including but not limited to new services stations, major revamps, invariants upgrade projects, signage, diversification and Solarization, etc
    •  To prepare details drawings for retail equipment including pump and tank installations.
    •  To ensure all drawings and plans are in accordance with TE requirements and relevant local authority and environmental regulations.
    •  To update construction specifications for the engineering, architectural and pump and tank aspects of TE projects, taking into account any changes to the relevant municipal and national requirements.
    •  To provide a professional construction service to retail (network and offer development, retail fuels, SFS, ESO, marketing and retail) department by assisting in the determination of construction, architectural and pump and tank requirements for the preparation of project proposals.
    •  To reviewing and adjusting of drawings done by consultants in order to ensure that TE norms and standards are adhered to.
    •  To prepare in consultation with the project engineers as build drawings on completion of each individual project.
    •  To maintain all sites latest revision of layouts and keep archives of all changes and modification.
    • Administrative
    •  The general operation of the drawing office and to fulfil various administrative & management duties within the office.
    •  Review and update technical documents (e.g. manuals and workflows)
    •  Distribute project-related copies to internal teams.
    •  File documents in physical and digital records.
    •  Create technical templates for future use.
    •  Retrieve files as requested by employees and clients
    •  Manage the flow of documentation within the organization
    •  Maintain confidentiality around sensitive information and terms of agreement

    Context and environment

    • The jobholder is accountable for management of all drawings required for the technical division including consultants’ engagement in this process. All the activities are driven to achieve key business objectives; conduct all work in the safe manner, adhere to local legislations and Group standard and adhere to all internal process with implementation of efficient controls of the latest revisions.
    •  KPI: Specifications, updated layouts, refer to retail technical manager for special projects.
    • Activity: Preparation, modification, issue and control of all drawing required by the technical division Organisation: Retail technical is a service provider to retail department (network and offer development, retail fuels, SFS, ESO, marketing and retail).

    • Qualification: National Diploma (Multi- Disciplinary Draughting/ Civil/ Mechanical) with good knowledge of CAD

    Lubricants Technical Manager

    Job Description

    Strategy:

    •  Continuously update and manage the lubricants product range and services to meet the demands of the local and regional
    • market. This is based on both the TMSA roadmap and continuously changing market conditions.
    •  Stay abreast of local technical developments by attending conferences and exhibitions including relevant SAIT events.
    •  Implement vision and strategy within the lubricants technical team regarding product.
    •  Plan for future product need in advance both for local production and importation.
    •  Manage the product life cycle within the lubricants technical team via the UMDS process:
      • Formulation & Specification
      • Trial blend & Labels
      • Code creations
      • Implementation, SDS
      • Closures
    •  Review and audit practices downstream to improve quality of products, product handling in our warehouses and services.
    •  Aim to digitalize processes in the direct area of responsibility.

    Lubricant sales :

    •  Deliver the Lubricants roadmap with regards to product range modifications required, and to implement these changes.
    •  Assist the sales teams to deliver new products and services to maintain competitive edge.
    •  To strive to reduce product costs to allow TMSA to be competitive in the marketplace.
    •  To ensure that technical services relating to Lubricants are conducted in a professional, accurate and timely manner by team
    • members. These services include, but are not limited to: Product/application recommendations, product alternatives, site
    • audits, oil analysis interpretation, providing technical support documentation, product launches, product training.
    •  To assist our sales team to understand customer needs and to educate on them our product ranges and applications.
    •  Communication on product range changes.

    HSEQ

    •  Ensure team’s adherence and compliance to company HSEQ and security standards, (Golden rules and Near miss reporting),
    • so as to minimise risks pertaining to company assets and protection of life.
    •  To ensure raw material use are within the allowable safety rules of TotalEnergies.
    •  To monitor and alert the global and regional SDS teams of SDS requirements.
    •  To ensure products meet the required specifications and to implement updates when required.
    •  To oversee customer product complaints to resolve disputes in a professional and timely manner in conjunction with the
    • Lubricants Quality Manager.

    • Governance

    Context and environment

    • Challenge is to achieve an effective balance between supporting LMP activities (upstream) and sales activities (downstream)
    • as both are vital to ensure business continuity.
    •  Other internal and external constraints which make this job challenging are evolving Total safety requirements w.r.t raw materials,
    • uncertain SA regulatory environment, non-technical base to support that has a high turnover.

    Candidate profile

    • Appropriate Engineering Degree (Chemical or Mechanical Engineer; BEng or BSc)
    •  5 7 years experience in a technical role within the lubricants or lubrication industry.
    •  Some sales background would be advantageous.
    •  Experience in application, complaints, product development, oil analysis.
    •  Excellent knowledge of the products and their potential applications in the industry.
    •  Excellent knowledge on TSA and competitor product
    •  Knowledge and application of TSA code of conducts and ethics
    •  Knowledge and application of TSA policies and procedures.
