    Senior Product Designer

    About the Job

    What will you do?

    • This role resides in Macron and reports to Head of Product. The Senior Product Designer will play a pivotal role in turning our ideas into exceptional products, solutions and end-to-end services that satisfy business objectives and meet customer and intermediary needs.
    • The incumbent will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to create exceptional user experiences.

    The role responsibilities will include:

    • User-Centered Design: Conduct user research, user testing, and gather feedback to inform design decisions, ensuring our products meet the needs and preferences of our diverse user base.
    • UX/UI Design: Create userflows, decision trees, wireflows and prototypes of varying fidelities. Leverage our design library components to create visually appealing and functional user interfaces.
    • Prompt Engineering: Craft complex and clever prompts to instruct LLMs to accomplish a wide range of tasks, and document your effective prompting methodology to create a library of tools and tutorials.
    • Conversational Design: Design conversational flows for chat, voice or other technologies to mimic natural human conversation.
    • Content Design: Write both short-form (microcopy for user interfaces) and long-form (collections of content to serve as knowledgebases from which our LLMs can draw) content.
    • Learning Experience Design: Create learning experiences that enable the learner to achieve the desired learning outcome in a human centered and goal-oriented way.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers and developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately and effectively.
    • Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and design excellence within the team.

    Qualification and Experience

    • A Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent experience in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field.
    • 5+ years of experience designing products and services
    • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma and Miro.
    • Experience in conversational design
    • Experience in instruction, learning experience design or teaching is highly beneficial.
    • Experience in content design
    • Portfolio showcasing your design work, including projects related to financial education and content design.
    • Knowledge of and curiosity about technology and its impact on digital solutions.
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
    • Passion for staying updated on industry trends and best practices in design and financial education.

    Knowledge and Skills

    • Strong knowledge of financial services.
    • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to insurance.
    • Excellent strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to assess market opportunities and develop effective digital banking partnership strategies.
    • Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results in a matrixed organizational structure.

    • Our learnership forms part of our young talent strategy and directly pipelines into our YEP (Youth Empowerment Programme) to create a talent pipeline in our business.     • Must have a good command of English (read, write and speak fluently)
    • Must not have studied after Matric, and not currently be enrolled in any formal studies
    • Must not have previously completed a Learnership Programme
    • Be willing to commit to complete the 12-month Programme, which includes a full qualification
