    Public Health Advisor

    Purpose of the position
    This role is responsible for leading program workstreams, coordinating the work of Senior Associates and Associates, and overseeing business analysis (requirements and design), technology implementation (data pipeline development and software configuration) and change management (process design, training and adoption support). A manager will be involved in establishing and managing project plans, developing staff and line management, or client relationship management activities. A manager will also take responsibility for support of business development solutioning activities. This role is also responsible for assessing the level of maturity of program processes to implement technology enabled enhancements and advising and supporting the implementation of theses through change management activities and sustained advisory support, contributing to the desired behavioural and process change. The role is integral to the client success team working closely with the client engagement manager to connect behavioural change with value creation and with the program execution teams to support the introduction of data and technology related enablers.

    The ideal candidate will be able to assess the decision-making structures and decision makers within a public health system, and craft recommendations that incorporate public health best practice, applying problem-solving and critical thinking, to shape the desired behavioural change. The role will also be expected to help shape the decisions around delivery of insights to improve context, motivation, and overall impact and engagement.

    Key Accountabilities:
    Shaping Solutions:

    • Analysing the landscape of critical client priorities and associated decision making and mapping decision making processes
    • Translating strategic goals and discovering underlying healthcare needs and key questions that benefit from actionable insights to support more effective decision making;
    • Developing recommendations and business requirements for effective decision-making structures, including establishing priorities for insight generation
    • Observing and engaging with clients to understand how information is used to support decision making
    • Developing recommendations on the delivery of insights (channel, timeliness) and the shaping of content (message, context) to drive adoption and execution
    • Collaborating with clients and the program execution team to translate needs and questions into technology user requirements;

    Development:

    • Participating in internal and client facing meetings to plan key development priorities and milestones, confirm deliverable expectations, and clarify contractual obligations;
    • Engage with Program Execution teams to ensure that client user business requirements are effectively represented in the design of enabling technology
    • Engaging in acceptance testing and training development activities representing the voice of the client in such activities

    Ongoing Support:

    • Facilitating workshops, trainings and/or consultations with clients and stakeholders;
    • Assisting internal teams with the transition to effective operational support services
    • Providing direct support for clients in learning and sustaining decision-making structures and processes
    • Continual observation and proactive surveillance of process maturity prompting recommendations for continual improvements throughout the program lifecycle.

    In your role as a Manager you will need to demonstrate skill in five key areas:

    Essential Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in nursing, health sciences or relevant field, or equivalent experience

    Experience

    • 4+ years of experience as a health professional working directly in or providing support to a public healthcare system
    • Knowledge and experience in two or more of the following areas: client management and engagements, consulting services delivery, business intelligence, public health, change management, software implementation, data analytics.

    Senior Associate (Analyst)

    Purpose of the position

    The Senior Associate role is a position responsible for bringing depth of skill and experience to the delivery of program activities. The Senior Associate will be expected to coordinate a small team of analysts in completing critical program tasks including business analysis (requirements and design), technology implementation (data pipeline development and software configuration) and change management (process design, training and adoption support). A Senior Associate will also be responsible for mentoring and coaching staff in development of specific skills or during their induction process.

    Key Accountabilities/Skills

    • In your role as a Senior Associate you will need to demonstrate skill in five key areas:

    Problem Solving/Technical Skills

    • Have experienced a full client implementation cycle and matured and applied skills in a project environment;
    • Leads the discovery and translation of business requirements as approved by all relevant stakeholders and translate these into technical requirements;
    • Leads fit/gap analyses with existing solution capabilities (including analysis of client datasets as applicable), identifying and prioritizing requirements;
    • Participates in change management process design and plans and leads a change management workstream, including training and adoption support;
    • Exhibits mature knowledge of existing Solutions and proficiency in pitching these to both internal and external stakeholders;
    • Exhibits proficient understanding of health sector stakeholders, key indicators and operating environment;

    Delivery/Project Management Skills

    • Contribute to task planning during project start-ups to plan key milestones/meetings, confirm deliverable expectations, and clarify contractual obligations;
    • Execute sequence of tasks within a workstream in support of project plan structure;
    • Support data ingestion activities (defining and developing data pipeline, quality control processes, extraction/import routines, etc);
    • Supporting the testing process to enable effective implementation go-live;
    • Supporting the technical release with associated system and user administration set up;

    People Management Skills

    • Is accountable for own actions; takes ownership and accountability for self-development;
    • Provides mentorship to entry level staff members/client team members and contributes to internal training sessions;
    • Effectively manages a project workstream, coordinating others to meet deadlines and quality standards;

    Essential Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree;
    • Alternatively, a 3-year apprenticeship in a similar field would also be considered.

    Experience

    • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role/level will be considered.
    • Some knowledge or exposure in one or more of the following areas: client management and engagements, consulting services delivery, business intelligence, public health, change management, software implementation, data analytics.
