    PME Technician (Motors - Industrial )

    Purpose:

    • Define and validate the detailed manufacturing process for a new product.
    • Perform industrial documentation for the project, define industrial master data and set the manufacturing method time.
    • In serial phase, drive continuous improvement actions and industrialize product and process changes.

    Requirements:

    • Industrial Engineering B-Tech Degree or Mechanical Engineering B-Tech Degree
    • Manufacturing experience
    • Technical knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering, writing manufacturing work instructions, line balancing.
    • Experience in working with an ERP (such as SAP) for Bill of Materials, Routings, Configuration follow-up
    • Working knowledge in Quality, EHS standards and Ergonomics.
    • Familiar with IS common tools.
    • Process FMEA, QRQC background
    • Time analysis (MTM, MEK, UAS) background
       

    Responsibilities

    During specification and preliminary design phases:

    • Bring ideas to the Process Engineer or the PIM to guide product definition in order to improve the product manufacturability and achieve QCD targets.
    • Participate to the product design reviews when required.
    • Estimate Method Time.
       

    During detailed design phase and before Serial Go:

    • Participate to P-FMEA.
    • Participate to validation of prototypes if any.
    • Request tooling when needed and write tooling specifications.
    • Depending on the domain: perform ERP routings, Work Instructions, Inspection Instructions, program for CNC machines. And this ensuring good EHS and ergonomic conditions.
    • Perform work-stations task sequencing.
    • Validate product design and industrialization through FAR and FAI.
    • Calculate precise Method Time.
       

    After serial Go:

    • Industrialize retrofit after engineering changes: Routings, Work Instructions, and tooling.
    • Support Production to achieve manufacturing QCD targets.
    • Participate to continuous improvement workshops. (Ex: SWIP)
    • Contribute to industrial REX on manufacturing processes.

    Buyer

    MAIN RESPONSABILITIES  

    Set up full supplier selection process

    • Prepare and launch of Request for Quotation with suppliers
    • Lead negotiations with suppliers
    • Monitor Procurement project QCDT & legal project evolution (FAI, Business Award, Product development)
    • Ensure work package sheet commitment respect
    • Prepare Business Award
    • Promote the Alstom Code of Ethics and adhering to the highest standards of ethical conduct.
    • Coordinate project with all métiers
    • Ensure the on-time delivery and quality are secured especially during the ramp-up phase of the project
       

    Support commodity strategy

    • Consolidate the commodity needs, inputs
    • Participate actively to commodity strategy and panel elaboration
    • Provide imputes to build differentiation
    • Support of Commodity Manager in tender phase when required
    • Represent the commodities towards projects, platforms and solutions.
    • Ensure effective teamwork with internal customers and stakeholders in problem solving
    • Apply the Alstom Procurement process and provide return on experience.
       

    Build Supplier relationship

    • Support global supplier panel relationship
    • Manage specific supplier panel relationship (negotiation, specific agreement, local supplier QCDT performances)
    • Measure the supplier's performance and develop them in coordination with supplier Quality Team
    • Assess properly all risky suppliers and manage the associated mitigation plan
    • Manage initial issues before escalation to line manager
    • Monitor Corporate Social Responsibility engagements and deviations
    • Respect Alstom code of ethics and guidelines

    • Savings P&L and Cost to Complete
    • Non Conformities Event and On Time Delivery
    • Panel situation Supplier compliancy status rate
       

     MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES

    Educational Requirements Describe the minimum educational requirement/level

    Mandatory:

    • Diploma in Procurement.  Other qualifications will be considered dependent on experience

    Desirable:

    • CIPS qualification
    • Experience Describe the knowledge and experience required for this role

    Mandatory:

    • Sourcing professional background with a minimum of 5 years working experience in a manufacturing environment as part of the Procurement team
    • Experience working with ERP systems – SAP preferable
    • Own transportation with valid driver’s license
    • Financial Acumen – experience in managing material budgets
    • Advanced proficiency on Microsoft office Suite
    • Proven track record of Contract Management, Supplier negotiations, Supplier relationship building, Supplier selection process
       

    Desirable:

    • Rolling stock/Railway knowledge
