    Specialist Facilities & Travel

    POSITION SYNOPSIS:

    • The purpose of the role is to maintain office facilities in line with the Corporate Office Standard, South32 values, business and statutory requirements for Johannesburg and London. Influence a cost-effective approach for fit for purpose facilities management throughout South32..

     

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Serious contenders will have a Degree or National Diploma with a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience;
    • Experience in workplace safety management and legislative requirements;
    • Experience or working knowledge in property development and project delivery;
    • Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and change management practices to support project deliverables, business changes or requests;
    • Ability to identify, and translate complex problems into refined strategic solutions (business cases);
    • Sound judgment and decision-making abilities drawing from subject matter experts and business/statutory requirements.
       

    CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    Specialist Maintenance Assurance & Analysis

    POSITION SYNOPSIS:

    • You will be responsible for assisting the Plant maintenance foremen and teams, to ensure effective execution of breakdown, unplanned and planned maintenance work.

     
    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Serious contenders will have Grade 12 with mathematics and science or N3 Technical Certificate and a valid Trade Test;
    • A minimum of 4 years relevant experience on mechanical and electrical management on process plants is essential;
    • SAP software knowledge will be advantageous.

    • Ensuring maximum equipment availability, reliability and operational stability;
    • Conduct Root Cause Analysis investigations on breakdowns and defects;

    Principal Maintenance Execution

    POSITION SYNOPSIS:

    • The purpose of this role is to provide Maintenance Excellence expertise that would manage the delivery of well-designed work optimally. Design and deliver Maintenance Excellence systems to reduce exposure to catastrophic equipment failure by developing functional expertise, systems and tools and providing an assurance program to confirm their deployment across South32 globally.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Serious contenders will have a Degree qualified Mechanical/Electrical/Structural Engineer or Experienced Asset Management professional, with 10 years’ experience along with experience with SAP in a maintenance / reliability role;
    • Formal qualification in maintenance management/ reliability will be highly regarded for this role;
    • Relevant experience with a multi-disciplined project and/ or multinational corporate operational environment;
    • Deep functional SAP ECC Work Management knowledge;
    • Demonstrated operational experience and understanding of asset management systems, maintenance execution and practices to contribute/influence operational decisions on business improvement.

    POSITION SYNOPSIS:

    • HMM is launching the 2023 Graduate Development Program. The program aims to train and develop graduates within the technical disciplines as shown below.     Engineer Modification Small Projects

    POSITION SYNOPSIS:

    • To project manage & deliver a Hillside capital portfolio in accordance to company relevant policies, processes, standards and performance targets for HSEC, Quality, Time and Cost.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    Engineer Reliability

    POSITION SYNOPSIS:

    • The purpose of the role is to provide specialist advice and ensure asset integrity is managed and maintained over the life cycle of the assets; maintain a healthy asset integrity plan that actively addresses asset integrity, obsolescence, and end-of-life of assets; inform the capital plan for asset replacement strategy and asset improvement; and to ensure that changes to equipment and plant follows the set change management process.

     

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Serious contenders will have a Degree / BTech / National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in Plant Maintenance and Equipment Reliability;
    • Experience in Managing Stakeholders, Consultants and Service Provides is essential;
    • Experience in setting up projects from condition assessment, initiation up to execution (feasibility) stage is essential;
    • Experienced and knowledgeable in conducting site inspections, condition assessments, compliance audits, and producing quality technical reports is essential;
    • Experience in Asset Care Plan development using Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) process is essential;
    • Experience in the extracting and analyzing ERP information (using the BI tools) is essential;
    • Good understanding of Risk Management Processes for Criticality analysis is essential;
    • Experience in setting of plant standards is essential;
    • Experience in developing and optimizing asset life cycle strategies; calculating Life Cycle Costing (LCC) is advantageous;
    • Experience working on Reliability block diagram modelling; Component reliability modelling is advantageous;
    • Design experience within a heavy industry, materials handling, or mining environment is advantageous;
    • Experience in Six Sigma Analytical techniques is advantageous;
    • Certified Asset Management Practitioner (CAMP) is advantageous;
    • Registered with an ECSA is advantageous;
    • Project management professional (PMP) is advantageous.
       

    CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    • Establish and ensure adherence to systems, processes and standards for the maintenance of dynamic / life cycle data relating to assets and asset systems;
    • Establish and maintain systems and processes that ensure application of reliability, availability and maintainability (RAM) concepts and design requirements for new and existing assets;
    • Establish and maintain systems and processes that manage asset and asset systems risk due to unreliability as related to health, safety, environment, operations, quality, regulatory compliance and cost;
    • Create and maintain total cost of ownership models in order to identify low reliability, high maintainability assets / components / tasks, initiate improvement projects;
    • Responsible for the maintenance and updating of all asset care plans, corrective task lists and work instructions for existing assets and assets systems;
    • Evaluate asset investment proposals, preliminary design concepts, system engineering block diagrams and uses RAM Analysis to provide total cost of ownership models.
    • Responsible for the development of all asset care plans, corrective task lists and work instructions for assets and assets systems prior to commissioning.
