Specialist Maintenance Assurance & Analysis at South32

POSITION SYNOPSIS:

• You will be responsible for assisting the Plant maintenance foremen and teams, to ensure effective execution of breakdown, unplanned and planned maintenance work.

 
REQUIREMENTS:

• Serious contenders will have Grade 12 with mathematics and science or N3 Technical Certificate and a valid Trade Test;
• A minimum of 4 years relevant experience on mechanical and electrical management on process plants is essential;
• SAP software knowledge will be advantageous.
   

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Ensuring maximum equipment availability, reliability and operational stability;
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis investigations on breakdowns and defects;
• Conduct OPEX improvement initiatives;
• Manage the Warranty Process on failed equipment under warranty;
• Manage the support of the LEAN process for execution;
• Evaluate master data using the enterprise resource planning tools (SAP) for applicability and effectiveness;
• Assist the Projects team with Factory Acceptance Testing and inspections on refurbished components
• Assess the effectiveness of the applied asset maintenance strategies.
