    Millwright - Pretoria West

    Job Description

    • We at RCL FOODS are in search of a Millwright to join our Foods Division in Groceries - Beverages. The role will be based in Pretoria West and report to the Plant Engineer. The purpose of this role is to ensure that all manufacturing equipment is serviced and maintained according to specifications and in line with good engineering practices.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • 2 - 5 years’ experience as Artisan in the FMCG industry
    • Grade 12 or N5 –N6 or NCV Technical qualification
    • Millwright Trade Test
    • Wireman’s licence 

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Repair failures on equipment to restore the functionality of the equipment 
    • Carry out preventative maintenance work to ensure that equipment’s performance is at the ultimate output
    • Carry out root cause analysis to prevent the re-occurrence of failures 
    • Ensure job cards are completed timeously and all relevant information is captured
    • Carry out daily inspections on the machines and report any defects that may have been noticed
    • Ensure all equipment is made safe before work is carried out and all safety equipment is functional at all times  
    • Decide on which parts need replacement and any additional work required 
    • Decide on an additional activity that is required to improve performance
    • Assist production team in machine start-ups and set-ups every morning 
    • To organize and pre-planned maintenance activities on the basis of repairing plant machinery
    • Direct and train workers to install, and maintain mechanical/electrical equipment
    • Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions
    • Do maintenance repair and troubleshooting for electrical systems and apparatus
    • Define and follow Standard Operating Procedures for the repair of electrical systems
    • Identify and suggest new approaches or best-known methods foster continuous improvement
    • Perform other duties as assigned, including spiral freezer blockages or repairs, and mechanical fitting work such as follows:
      • Replacing bearings, 
      • Replacing shafts
      • Fixing motors
      • Attending to gearbox failures
      • Replacing and tightening of v-belts and chains
      • Fixing water and pneumatic pipelines;
      • Building conveyors for specific usages and building covers for machines;
      • Attending to fault finding on hydraulic power packs
      • Welding – TIG and arc (mostly working on stainless steel);
      • Basic Operating Lathe, polishing old and new shafts, bushes, new pins, and new rollers;
      • Basic operating hydraulic press, drill press, and plate bender
    • To comply with the requirements of Health and Safety, other relevant
    • Legislation and RCL Foods policies when carrying out maintenance repairs on production lines
    • Adhere to Quality and Food Safety requirements 
    • Ensure ongoing implementation (and where possible improvement) of the Quality and Food Safety system through the systematic implementation of the relevant food safety requirements as defined in the Food Safety RACI Matrix and relevant policies and procedures (SOPs).

    Master Data Administrator FTC

    Job Description    

    • RCL Foods is seeking to employ a Master Data Administrator to ensure customers are linked to the correct master data in Bread, Buns and Rolls division.  RCL Foods expects the suitable incumbent to also provide to front-line communication support between the Business and master data and to perform an independent preliminary verification of new master data records and amendments.  The role will be based in Pretoria and reports to the Business Analyst.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Qualification:  B.Com (Financial Accounting or Informatics), Degree business administration and/or marketing or other relevant tertiary qualification Skills and Experience:  Minimum 2 years’ experience working in Syspro master data environment or a similar integrated systems environment. 
    • Experience of Business processes and disciplines with a combination of at least 2 to 3 divisions and/or functions such as financial/management accounting, inventory and materials management, quality control, product costing, data analysis and reporting etc.

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Master Data Administration Verification and confirmation of master data for all new customers created.  
    • Update master data attributes accurately as per Master Data team.
    •  Provide support to Business Analyst relating to new and amended master data attributes, including the associated communication to users.
    •  Continually propose and implement ways to improve master data maintenance and housekeeping.  
    • Participate in the maintenance of master data information on depository information mediums outside the official ERP system(s) to ensure that all stakeholders in the Business have access to accurate and up to date master data information at all times.  
    • Participate in the resolution of queries and issues relating to new material take-on and amendments.
    •  Maintain relationships with all stakeholders that utilize master data within the broader information management systems.  
    • Perform independent verification checks/validation of master data take-on and amendments.  
    • Ensure new master data and requests for amendments are appropriately authorized and correctly filed and safeguarded.
    •  Perform technical administration including running reports, formatting, and validating data including reviews for duplications, etc.  
    • Performing various EDI checks to ensure seamless processing of orders into Syspro Effective Teamwork and Self-Management
    • Take ownership and accountability for tasks and activities and demonstrate effective self-management in terms of planning and prioritizing, and self-development.  
    • Follow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of work are consistently and accurately maintained.
    •  Inform relevant parties in the event of tasks or deadlines not met, the potential risks thereof and provide appropriate resolution.  
    • Manage colleagues’ expectations and communicate appropriately.  Demonstrate willingness to help others and “go the extra mile” to meet team targets and objectives.
    • General administration duties will also be allocated.
