    Triton Express: National Fleet and Maintenance Manager

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Ensuring that the fleet and building is maintained and reliable at all times by:

    • Ensuring that all outsourced work is quality checked prior to acceptance and payment is made
    • Ensuring that regular fleet inspections are conducted and coordinated with operations to conduct minor repairs
    • Ensuring that tyres are checked daily for: tread depth, matching tyre depth, mismatched tyres and tyre pressure, problems are to be rectified and reported daily to the General Manager, where required
    • Ensuring that all vehicles are serviced timeously, reporting any delays to the Branch Manager
    • Establishing and maintaining a network of service providers for after hour’s breakdown assistance
    • Continuous follow-up with service provider/s until such time that the problem/s (breakdown etc.) is resolved and the vehicle is fully operational
    • Keeping accurate records of all breakdown/ repair costs, scrutinize all invoices for accuracy before signing off
    • Ensuring that the quality of the repairs carried out is of the highest standard and maintained at all time
    • Monitoring fuel consumption daily, weekly and monthly and following up on any deviations
    • Ensuring that all accident / incident damage is attended to immediately. Complete accident investigations and supply feedback reports
    • Ensuring Roadworthiness of all vehicles
    • Ensuring that correct licenses are displayed on applicable vehicle
    • Maintaining vehicle details on freightware
    • Focus on adherence, and where relevant making recommendations to all operational policies and procedures

    Co-ordinating all external contract work conducted on site by:

    • Ensuring that all external contract work has been authorised
    • Ensuring that a minimum of three quotations is obtained from various suppliers
    • Ensuring that all external contractors are familiar and abide by the Occupational Health and Safety requirements whilst on site.

    Controlling of stock, and maintenance / repair of company equipment by:

    • Ensuring that relevant stock levels for consumable items are maintained
    • Conducting regular checks on all equipment used

    Ensuring that the image of the fleet is maintained by:

    • Managing wash bay, fuel, and tyre repair staff on a daily basis including Saturdays
    • Conducting daily inspections, ensuring that all vehicles are washed, fueled prior to departure for the following day
    • Conducting regular checks on vehicle cabs
    • Reporting through to the Branch Manager and National Operations Manager of fleet which required touching up or replaced as and when required.

    Managing of drivers and their documentation by:

    • Conducting regular checks in respect license and PDP requirements
    • Ensuring that the Driver Trainer assess all new drivers in respect of driving abilities before employment offers are made
    • Conducting regular performance reviews on drivers and implement action plans on performance incapability

    Ensuring maintenance and repair of company equipment by:

    • Conducting regular checks on all equipment used
    • Reporting any damages to equipment or required repairs
    • Monitoring the accurate reporting and record keeping of fuel issues and receipts
    • Undertaking fleet assets auditing, investigations and reporting on deviations from asset register.

    Manage staff and related documentation by:

    • Maintaining driver details on Freightware
    • Ensuring that all drivers clock in/out correctly
    • Conducting driver interviews with regards to customer and public complaints
    • Reporting of misconduct of relevant staff or inadequate performance of relevant staff to the Branch Manager
    • Ensuring the effective implementation of safety, health and environmental initiatives

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Matric (Grade 12) minimum
    • Minimum 5 Years’ experience in Fleet Management
    • Experience within transport industry

    Jupidex: Segment Lead (Sales)

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Development and execution of Sales Budget for the allocated area

    • Do an in-depth analysis of agricultural activities and determine equipment requirements in conjunction with the Product Specification Committee.
    • Develop an annual Segment Sales Budget focusing on key products
    • Develop a Product/Segment sales plan
    • Execute against a set unit and GP and PxP objectives
    • Ensure that the Sales Budget is achieved.
    • Give regular feedback on performance against budget.
    • Implement immediate corrective actions where deviations occur.

    .Sales & Marketing Actions

    Selling – In

    • Develop and maintain a productive long-term relationship with Customers.
    • Assist Dealers or Coops to determine project Sales

    Selling - Out

    • Introduce actions and activities to promote the brand and products in allocated areas e.g. Study groups, Farmers Groups, Agricultural Institutions such as Agricultural Schools, Colleges and Universities, Demonstrations, Farmer’s Days, and Collaborations with other Businesses such as Seed and other input providers.
    • Initiate Sales & Marketing opportunities by continuous area analysis and identifying opportunities.
    • Reach out to individual farmers and potential customers to create demand and refer to Dealers.
    • Plan and execute activities in line with Sales & Marketing plans.

    Stock Management

    • Liaise with Logistics/Head Office regarding delivery of stock items
    • Ensure that stock in his/her portfolio is visible and maintained as per Company directives.
    • Arrange for the delivery and commissioning of equipment to customers.

    Administration

    • Develop robust knowledge of all products in the respective segment
    • Document all Administrative work on Magnitude (Quotations, Customer Visits, Registration of Sold Equipment, Inventory Management)
    • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities
    • Track expenses in an organized fashion
    • Report weekly/monthly on the status of field marketing activities
    • Document and share lead/customer intelligence with the sales team.
    • Open communication to Sales Manager and Chief Operating Officer (COO).

    REQUIREMENTS:

    Education

    • Min:    Post-Matric Certificate/Diploma
    • Ideal:  Degree in agriculture/business/marketing or a related field

    Legal Requirements

    • Min: Valid South African driver’s license

    Mascor: Customer Support Representative (Greytown)

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    CUSTOMER SERVICE

    • Inspections and sell machine maintenance and repair services, repair parts, extended warranties, upgrades and any other management approved products.
    • Represent the company for the sale of Product Support to customers in a defined sales area.

    Starke Ayres: Laboratory Assistant

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Use the prescribed method, as indicated by laboratory superiors, according to ISTA Rules for the specific species
    • Daily temperature readings need to be made on all apparatus, store room and laboratory; problems need to be reported to the Laboratory Supervisor.
    • Ensure that the laboratory and all equipment belonging to the laboratory are at all times kept clean and in a good condition – report any malfunctions immediately.
    • Discarding of excess seed and sand on a daily basis as prescribed.
    • Thoroughly clean the relevant equipment before and after operating it.
    • General maintenance of the seed store and the discarding of samples, on a regular basis, as prescribed by laboratory superiors.
