    Job Purpose

    Commercial Card Issuing Strategy Analyst - Johannesburg

    Job Purpose

    • To create and compile management and strategic plans and reporting; that aligns to the strategic intent; through qualitative and quantitative research and analysis; and synthesis of insights into recommendations that enable sound business decisions; as per Nedbank business strategy.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in Nedbank Culture building initiatives (e.g., staff surveys etc.).

    Head Digital Assurance - Johannesburg

    Job Purpose

    • To manage and lead a team of professionals in providing Digital assurance to the Nedbank Chief Internal Auditor (CIA); on the quality assurance and continuous improvement framework for Group Internal Audit (GIA); to contribute towards business success by directing the smooth operation of the Digital Assurance Function and ensuring optimum performance of this internal audit function in line with the overall Nedbank business strategy and relevant strategic imperatives

    Job Responsibilities

    • Provide broad overall direction for the Digital Assurance design, management, operations support and business shift functions and ensure that there is an agreed design philosophy that can be justified against global leading practices. 
    • Take overall accountability for the financial and operational performance of the Digital Assurance function and ensure that there is an agreed management and support philosophy that can be justified against global leading practices. 
    • Participates in the development of the organisational vision and strategic objectives and ensures that these are cascaded and aligned within the business; and that appropriate organisational structures, budgets and other resources are available to achieve the strategic objectives.
    • Establishes and ensures maintenance of effective action orientated performance management systems and processes within the Business and facilitates effective cross Divisional partnerships.
    • Oversee and manage the standards and governance aspects related to Digital Assurance, Digital Assurance design, management, operations support and business shift functions.
    • Enable and support the research of global leading Digital Assurance design, management, operations support and business shift functions and facilitate the integration of these practices into the business design environment and Digital Assurance.
    • Empower and back up the Digital Assurance teams and promote the agreed design philosophies at all levels.
    • Sets direction for and facilitates the development of dynamic strategies and strategic imperatives for the Digital Assurance function.
    • Analyse the integrated performance of the business and provide integrated and pro active reports to all required stakeholders;
    • Ensure that adequate risk management practices are applied at all levels of the business.

    • Build sound professional relationships through addressing client concerns.
    • Maintain an open and constructive relationship with the CIA, , GIA executives, and key stakeholders by providing value added services and sharing information.

    Minimum Experience Level

    The following minimum experience is required:

    • 6 – 8 years financial services experience in a senior position;
    • Banking experience, inclusive of client facing experience (preferably);
    • Ability to operate at a Senior level; and
    • Leadership experience leading teams.

    The following additional experience is preferred:

    • Significant internal audit and / or information technology experience in banking

    Job Purpose
