    Area Manager Mr Price Money

    Purpose

    • The Area Manager is responsible for achieving set targets across Mr Price Money products by leading and enabling a customer focused in-store experience, ensuring all Mr Price Money associates achieve their set key performance indicators through effective people, stock and stakeholder management.         

    Key Responsibilities      

    KPIs:

    • Ensure all stores implement promotion launches and maintain visual merchandising standards in order to create a visual appealing in store environment.
    • Gather and evaluate information which impacts on the achievement of the business KPI's in order to monitor performance.
    • Analyse external factors in which our products are trading in to understand how these factors may affect the product performance.
    • Compile reports to identify trends and patterns to maximize sales.
    • Collaboratively drive store management teams to promote sales through all relevant channels.    

    Team Leadership:

    • Lead and motivate store management team in line with business culture and goals. Ensure that stores are staffed with the right associates in order for instore cellular to achieve their goals.
    • Build a strong succession plan in the area aligned to employment equity goal. 
    • Clearly define and provide clarity to associates regarding their job profile and KPI's to ensure understanding of their roles. Monitor associate's work schedules to ensure continued productivity. Provide ongoing learning and development on products and best practices to up-skill and refresh associate's understanding.
    • Collaborate with store management to create a stimulating and supportive environment for associates to thrive in. Conduct weekly/monthly store visits as per the schedule sent out to stores to conduct monthly one ones with associates.                                                                            

    Analysis & Reporting:

    • Examine area profit and loss to identify any areas of concern and analyse figures in order to maintain expenses in line with budgets. Utilize relevant systems to retrieve data regarding sales and other store metrics in order to make informed decisions and act accordingly. Review store performance in relation to cellular performance and make operational representation to motivate for changes.
    • Analyse and maintain awareness of trading densities in stores to determine feasibility. Prepare quartile reports and provide feedback to operations team.  Compile weekly interim status reports on submit weekly to division. Compile month end reports to provide insights on performance of each store. Update the Daily Performance Tracker (DPT) on findings after every store visit to create awareness of performance.                                                                                                              

    Requirements

    • Grade: 12 with a Degree or Diploma (Advantageous).
    • 5 Years’ Experience in Retail Operations.
    • Cellular Retail industry knowledge.
    • Leadership/Management Skills.
    • Legislative Knowledge.
    • System & Product Knowledge.
    • Customer Management.

    Assistant Store Manager - Mpumalanga

    Purpose

    • Support the store manager in managing the daily operations of a store to ensure that the overall objectives, store targets and customer service standards are met and exceeded.                                                                        

     Key Responsibilities

    Stock Management:

    • Ensure that stock is accurately received & unpacked to merchandise and replenish the sales floor.
    • Monitor and manage stock levels through defined processes to mitigate risks (stock loss) and ensure adequate stock on hand.
    • Oversee the overall maintenance of the stockroom to meet housekeeping standards.

                                   

    Sales Growth & Profitability:

    • Analyse sales & profitability reports in store to collaborate with management on required operational action plans, increase sales performance and monitor store expenditure.
    • Review and keep abreast of in-store product performance to provide feedback to support centre and enhance sales.
    • Identify and propose new opportunities to increase sales and brand awareness.

                           

    Risk Management:

    • Conduct compliance checks through defined processes to ensure and enforce overall compliance to policies and procedures.

                   

    Customer Experience Management:

    • Ensure and maintain the implementation of customer experience processes to meet customer service standards.

                                   

    Leadership & Development:

    • Lead and drive the team within a store to achieve store KPIs and operational strategy in line with company values.
    • Identify & drive training, coaching and development needs with a focus on talent management and succession planning.
    • Recruit, administer & manage performance in accordance with company policies and procedures.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           

    Requirements
    Grade: 12.
    3 Years' Retail Management Experience.
    Understanding of Sales & Service Management.
    Budgeting Skills.
    Proficiency in MS Office.
    Effective Communication Skills.
