    Clinic Practitioner - Johannesburg North

    Job Description

    • Dis-Chem is looking for a Qualified Clinic Sister to join their team in Johannesburg North. The key purpose of the position is to manage and operate a profitable, Primary Health Care Clinic that is situated in a pharmacy within the scope of practice of a registered nursing practitioner.

    Minimum Requirements:
    Essential:

    • Grade 12 – Matric
    • Tertiary qualification in General Nursing
    • Degree/Diploma in Midwifery
    • Registered with South African Nursing Council (SANC)
    • Nursing practitioner must obtain BHF registration
    • 2-3 years’ experience in practicing as a Primary Health Care Clinic Sister
    • Computer skills – Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

    Advantageous:

    • Minimum 5 years practicing as a Primary Health Care Sister
    • Patient Record System & CKS & Allegra

    Job Description:

    • Perform Clinic Sister duties according to industry regulations and industry best
    • Manage the average “feet-per-hour” rate and set clinic objectives to enhance patient

    • Ensure that the Clinic is open and operational according to the hours stated in the operational

    • Quarterly CPD training; in-service training with Dis-Chem
    • Strong command of English (written and oral)
    • Understand the financial implications of meeting or not meeting set monthly targets
    • Strong analytical skills relating to monthly clinic statistics and commission
    • Emotional intelligence; entrepreneurial flair; trustworthy and honest
    • Ability to manage team and self; be self-direct and self-motivated
    • Time management

    Gardener - Midrand (Head Office)

    • Dis-Chem Pharmacies require an experienced Gardener for their Head Office in Midrand. Responsible for the general maintenance of the Dis-Chem Head Office to ensure a clean and neat environment.

    Minimum Requirements…

    Essential:

    • A minimum of 1 year of  gardening/cleaning experience

    Job Specification…

    • Be responsible for grass cutting, emptying bins, weed control and leaf raking.
    • Plant new trees, flowers and various plants when required.
    • Ensure maintenance of plant tubs baskets.
    • Clear rubbish and litter away from the Warehouse grounds using designated equipment.
    • Seed plants and water them when necessary.
    • Produce various designs and layouts of garden landscapes.
    • Ensure to use gardening equipment and hand tools in the correct and proper manner to avoid injury.
    • Identify and use proper equipment and hand tools for each plant and job at hand.

    Marketing Specialist - Head Office (Midrand)

    Job Description

    • Dis-Chem Pharmacies has an opportunity available for a Marketing Specialist for their Head Office in Midrand. The main purpose of the role is to coordinate and execute all marketing initiatives (including Digital and Social Media) of Dis-Chem Health, working in close collaboration with the Dis-Chem marketing team, our insurance subsidiary (Kaelo), our insurer (Centriq) and other relevant stakeholders (internal and external). The role will ensure that all parties are aligned on the Marketing Strategies, planning and execution of Successful Marketing Campaigns to drive demand generation to support the growth of the category.

    Minimum Requirements:

    Essential:

    • Grade 12 / Matric or Senior Certificate
    • Marketing Degree or Equivalent
    • Minimum 3 years Marketing experience

    Job description:

    Marketing Planning & Execution

    • Develop well designed marketing content for Dis-Chem Health advertising campaigns, including but not limited to social media, website and newsletter as required.
    • Create and manage project plans and timelines to deliver marketing campaigns on time and escalate any issues that may prevent on-time delivery.
    • Conduct effective marketing campaigns to promote brand awareness to consumers for the Dis-Chem Health
    • Measure the effectiveness of campaigns and achieve incremental increases in success of marketing campaigns and brand awareness
    • Provide project management support for marketing activities including Campaigns, Special Projects Sponsorships and Events Management/Brand launches.
    • Develop, document, implement, and manage repeatable and scalable campaign management processes.

    Stakeholder Partnership

    • Work collaboratively across departments and subsidiary companies to ensure that the advertising and marketing requirements are executed via the correct channels.
    • Interact daily with stakeholders following the Dis-Chem’s customer service standards.
    • Partner with internal marketing team and agency to launch content campaigns designed to drive and measure leads and increase brand awareness, ensuring adherence to approved Dis-Chem brand guidelines.

    Research and Reporting

    • Conduct market research to determine ad campaign strategies.
    • Keep abreast of the current market trends and developments.
    • Report all queries and findings to your Line Manager.

     General Administration

    • Assist in the administration and reporting of the marketing campaigns, events, launches and ad hoc campaigns and proposals.
    • Update and maintain the marketing database.
    • Ensure all tasks are done in accordance with the procedures.
