    Talent Specialist (Head Office)

    Description

    • We are looking for an experienced, proactive and future-fit Talent Specialist to join our Human Resources team at our Cape Union Mart Head Office.
    • This position, reporting to the Group HR Business Leader, is based at our Head Office in Cape Town and will support the HR Strategy by providing full recruitment services for Head Office roles and will drive the recruitment strategy to ensure effective delivery to business stakeholders.
    • Our successful candidate will have the relevant experience, customer centricity and drive to work in our fast-paced and high-volume retail environment.

    Requirements
    Role Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement our end-to-end candidate recruitment process to ensure a positive experience, in line with our Company’s vision of being a #1 Employer
    • Provide input into the overall recruitment strategy for the portfolio and of the Company to ensure that the talent needs of the Company are met, in line with the long-term talent strategy
    • Partner with HRBP’s to identify recruitment needs and expectations in different areas and produce forecasts
    • Develop and drive talent and recruitment plans and processes
    • Develop job descriptions, selection criteria and interview guides that reflect the requirements for each position, and establish a talent resource library
    • Devise and implement sourcing strategies to build pipelines of potential applicants
    • Manage our digital recruitment presence
    • Build and maintain relationships with our key external recruitment partners
    • Partner with the Information team to ensure recruitment reports and metrics are delivered to stakeholders
    • Guide and mentor Talent Administrator to build competencies that will grow and develop the individual
    • Support and participate in the execution of HR projects and interventions
    • Drive continuous improvement and self-development
    • Execute and deliver on ad-hoc duties and responsibilities

    Experience & Qualifications

    • A relevant tertiary degree or diploma is required
    • Registration with the HPCSA as a Psychometrist is advantageous
    • Minimum of 3-5 years proven experience within the Talent Acquisition field is essential. Preference will be given to candidates with Recruitment/HR experience within a Retail Head Office environment
    • Preference may also be given to candidates with experience in recruiting for roles within the Technology areas
    • Vendor management experience is important
    • Experience working with HR Information Systems, specifically Applicant Tracking Systems, is required (Preference will be given to candidates with PaySpace experience)
    • Working knowledge of social media and digital recruitment strategies is advantageous
    • Experience in administering psychometric testing tools is desirable
    • Proficiency working with Microsoft Office is important (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Preference will be given to candidates with intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
    • A valid driver’s license is required (your own car is preferred)

    Merchandise Designer - Leisurewear

    Description

    • Our Retail Team has a new and exciting opportunity available for a creative, enthusiastic, and driven Senior Designer to join the current team in a rapidly growing Leisure Clothing division. This position will work closely with the Head Designer on our Leisure brands (Poetry & Old Khaki) in adherence to the Cape Union Mart Group standards.
    • Our ideal candidate will have the ability to align with the company vision, be self-motivated and actively involved in the end to end process in the applicable area of responsibility. In addition, the successful candidate should have the high energy levels required for this fast-paced, exciting, and dynamic retail environment.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    •  Together with the current Buying Team and Head Designer, deliver designs in accordance with the strategy for the portfolio 
    •  Work closely with Buying, and our local manufacturing team 
    •  Conduct research of local and international trends as required
    •  Provide trend and colour forecasts as well as seasonal “moodboards” as required 
    •  Compile design requirements and specifications along with Technical Drawings 
    •  CAD new designs with relevant detail for local manufacturing team 
    •  Collaborate with Fabric Team to create aligned pieces for the collection.
    •  Work with Local Manufacturing team to develop design and all its components for local manufacturing 

    Requirements
    Experience & Qualifications

    •  Matric with a relevant tertiary qualification in Fashion Design or Design is an important pre-requisite
    •  Experience in a similar role within a design environment will be advantageous
    •  Previous experience working in a retail environment is advantageous
    •  Working knowledge and experience with Coral Draw or Illustrator is non-negotiable
    •  Working knowledge of Microsoft office and Outlook is essential
    •  Preference will be given to candidates with an understanding of garment construction/manufacturing
    •  Will be required to travel within the Region and therefore a valid driver’s license and own vehicle is advantageous

    Digital Content Coordinator (Cape Union Mart) - Head Office

    Description

    • Our Digital Marketing department is in search of a culture and brand fit Digital Content Coordinator to join their team to take ownership of the day–to–day assembly & deployment of all relevant social, mailer, SMS & paid media content for the Cape Union Mart portfolio. The role will require the incumbent to work effectively across multiple teams, including some external partners, to proactively seek relevant information in order to effectively support the overarching business objectives & ensure the delivery of world class digital content.

    Key Duties

    • Day-to-day assembly & deployment of required social media (Facebook, Instagram + Twitter), mailer & SMS comms.
    • Coordinate small scale digital content productions with the support of both internal & external teams, as and when required.
    • Compile monthly content calendars, alongside the broader brand & merchandise teams, to be executed across but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Mailers & SMS.
    • Liaise with external digital agency to ensure delivery of all performance media assets on time and in line with the approved digital media plan.
    • Brief all digital content requirements into the design studio in accordance with agreed lead times.
    • Work closely with community managers to actively seek out and act on engagement opportunities within our online communities.
    • Leverage & incentivize user generated content on our channels through the ideation & execution of competitions, giveaways or potential brand partnerships.

    Requirements
    Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications

    • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar position
    • Matric and related tertiary education in digital content/marketing
    • Ability to manage social media platforms (Facebook & Instagram) is essential
    • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is advantageous
    • High-level understanding of performance media (Facebook & Google), email communication strategies and overall digital insights & analytics.
    • Domain knowledge in retail, online advertising and eCommerce with strong affinity to the Cape Union Mart Brand.

     Competencies
