    will be working as a Controlling Analyst ELSE, and will be the part of Electrification Business Area for Services division based in Longmeadow, South Africa. In this role you will be reporting to Senior Sales Controller and will provide financial expertise to the organization by compiling and analyzing metrics, identifying trends and problems, communicating information to relevant groups, and recommending actions to improve financial performance for specific factory / manufacturing site.

    Your responsibilities

    • Operational partnership: Partner directly with the Local Division Manager to drive strategy and execution to deliver on profitable growth target.
    • Compliance and Integrity: Direct responsibility for the accuracy of all financial books, records and reports for the ELSE Division in South Africa. Drive compliance and integrity throughout the Country in support of the Local Controller and LDM.
    • Planning cycle: Support the APP process for the Division.
    • Partner with the ELSE Local Controller and Local Division Manager for South Africa to operationalize financial targets and challenges.
    • Direct ownership for develop and execute the financial forecasting process for the ELSE Division in South Africa supporting the LDM to prepare an accurate and timely forecast.
    • OHS and Integrity: Support ensure a safe working environment, continuous HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) improvement processes, integrity performance and Group standard.

    Your background

    • A Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance or accounting is required.
    • Minimum 3 years of experience or alternatively, an equivalent combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated performance and results; in the areas of business, finance, operational controlling and/or accounting.
    • Strong costing knowledge and understanding of service accounting and revenue recognition, Microsoft Office/computer skills and expertise in APP reporting tools.
    • Fluency in both spoken and written English language is a must.

    Service Sales Specialist - Switchgear Service

    You will be working as a Service Sales Specialist - Switchgear Service, and will be the part of Electrification Business Area for Services Division based in Longmeadow, South Africa. In this role you will be reporting to EL Sales Manager Industry and ELDS Service and will lead to identify and cultivate defined customers. Sales Specialist drives the sales process from identified potential to the final sales deal. He/she has the responsibility to reach established sales targets through actively meeting and working with customers, including developing solutions which will address customer challenges.

    Your responsibilities

    • Market analysis: Ensure that market information (monitoring of competitors, offerings to customers, price levels) update and document in written form in the provide systems locally and globally and ensure the flow of information to Service Manager and/or Sales Manager about new entrants or other
    • parameters influencing the market. Contribute to the identification and development of new and/or potential customers.
    • Marketing: Act as marketer/salesperson of ABB’s services and solutions when appropriate, for instance at trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences, customer meeting. Utilize the available marketing material including price lists or other available information to identify lead and translate the need of the customer into the relevant ABB’ Service offering.
    • Sales planning: Understand the underlying need of the customer and identify new business opportunities, as well as grow the business with existing customers and sufficient knowledge about the ABB Service offerings in order to facilitate the sales process with the customer. Extensive knowledge about the customer, understand the channel strategy and the establishment of prices related to this, provide sufficient plan of customer visit and follow up on leads develop.
    • Sales: Visit customers to build a lead and opportunity pipeline, run the negotiations with the customer and secure the business to the agreed margins, as well as ensure a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the sales process, participate and contribute with the various risk assessments in order to ensure the proper balance between price and quality, register needed information into the appropriate customer database, chart out and monitor sales proposals and tenders (e.g. quantity, margin, product/ system), and follow up statistics concerning sales proposals. Ensure that payments from the customer are received in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract in order to avoid due payments and ensure that the sales proposals submitted are followed up and agreements are signed, and that they are in line with established requirements of the unit. Meet the expected number of customer visits as established in the target setting with the Sales Manager, ensure that the customer database is maintained updated with customer information, contact persons, businesses and activities.
    • Post-sales: Ensure that contracts execute correctly and that deliveries (products, goods and/or services) are on time at the agreed cost, with the assistance of administrative sales support Organize and coordinate post-sales marketing activities in collaboration with other Service organizations in
    • order to win added sales of services in addition to the offering sold. Ensure that the customer is satisfied and that any customer complaints is registered in database.

    Your background

    • Degree or diploma in an electrical/mechanical engineering field.
    • Minimum 5 years of Service or Industrial / Systems Sales experience.
    • Excellent knowledge of ABB service offering. Good knowledge of ABB products/systems, customer products, applications and processes, contract and risk management, ABB health and safety procedures.
    • Significant sales drive, focus energy to achieve and close profitable deals, ability to push himself/herself to develop in line with the changes in the organization
    • Excellent skills in Customer relations: Show a mature selling behavior and actively drives discussions and negotiations to the benefit of the business with customers.
    • Understand and use sales processes and related tools.
    • Ability to find innovative solutions to meet customer service requirements, accurately estimate costs of service offerings.
    • Actively demonstrates one ABB approach including teamwork ahead of personal objectives, takes steps to share and leverage cooperation and knowledge across the organization.
    • Should have good Communications & presentation skills. Excellent level of English required.

    Industry Solution Consultant – Mining & Minerals, Hub SAMA, Process Industries

    The Industry Solution Consultant – Mining & Minerals drives the long-term profitable growth of Digital Products, Solutions and Platforms within the HUB – SAMA (South Asia, Middle East & Africa) Digital, Process Industries. You will work with the Global Marketing and Sales teams for Digital and with the Global Product Group for Mining & Minerals to define Sales strategy, and Marketing and Business Development plans. You will work with the Regional Digital Solution Consultants, Hub Industry Leads, local country sales teams and with the backend support teams to execute on these strategies and plans through all phases of opportunities. Reporting to the HUB Digital Manager, you will be accountable for the sales targets of our Hub’s Digital offering for the Mining & Minerals industry. The Industry Solution Consultants bring the process expertise and our GPG’s Digital portfolio to the customer.

    Your responsibilities

    • Focus on the Marketing & Sales and Business development functions of the Digital portfolio for your region. Achieve the Digital sales targets for your region that include order volume, order gross margin and managing sales costs within budget.
    • Lead Digital strategy for the Value Portfolio areas of Operational Excellence, Process Performance, Asset Performance Management, Safety Sustainability on market dynamics, disruption and emerging technologies and the impact on business model, products, and services.
    • Drive the use of Data and Analytics and articulate its impact on Value Portfolio areas. Value benefits from Insights, Benefit Calculation, KPI monitoring.
    • Provide Digital solution leadership for the Value Portfolio’s consistently at high quality to a sales, proposals, and project teams. Interface with and influences customer's senior technical and business leadership on value solutions.

    • Continuously engaging a symbiotic relationship with Global Solution Consultants and Hub Industry Solution Consultants and Industry Leads to drive Sales, Solutioning and Business Development activities.     • Demonstrate expertise in multiple digital solution areas across value portfolios with the ability to architect and design technology solutions that target value benefits and coordinate sales activities across industry solution consulting team, Hub Sales Teams and Global Digital Team. Deliver product training and sales enablement programs to increase portfolio adoption.
    • Development of partners in individual portfolio areas ecosystem for contributing to IP, developing apps, or implementing on ABB platform. Develop strategic alliances for joint development of digital engineering models to offer new solutions. Coordinate and collaborate with product groups and other divisions to align digital portfolio requirements.

    Your background

    • Should have qualification in bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related technical field or master’s degree in Business Administration or technical field would be an advantage.
    • Minimum 10+ years of experience in the OT/Software industry with focus on industrial digitalization and the Internet of Things, with deep understanding of relevant technologies and trends.
    • Experiences in winning Industrial IOT, Digital Solution projects, industrial software environment and demonstrated expertise surmounting challenges around Data Integration, Legacy Systems, lack of standards and Cybersecurity Concerns, software applications in one or more Value Portfolio areas like APM, APC from leading vendors.
    • Strong knowledge of solutions and applications covering Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) as well as historians, OPC Servers and Asset Performance Management software.
    • Clear understanding of architecture, data integration and interfacing across distributed control and information systems including ERP, LIMS, Planning & Scheduling, Order Management, Production Accounting, manufacturing applications covering quality control, inventory, OEE, material tracking and supply chain management.
    • Availability to travel internationally as required.
    • Should have good Communications & presentation skills. Excellent level of English required.
