    Investment Analyst

    Role Purpose    

    • Support the investment process through research, analysis and interpretation of listed and unlisted investment vehicles and financial instruments.

    Requirements    

    • Degree in Investments Management or Finance.
    • Post graduate qualification (preferred).
    • Multi Asset Management experience.
    • 3-6 years investment analysis experience.
    • Stakeholder management, analytical, influencing skills.

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Keep abreast of the external environment in which the segment operates in.
    • Complete competitor analysis to assess the strengths and weaknesses of current and potential competitors.
    • Analyse investment portfolios and financial instruments based on the outcomes and requirements of the mandate and business requirements.
    • Projects short- and long-term values of stock compared with historical evaluations relative to a market index.
    • Provide research, analysis and insight to recommend approaches on the construction and management of portfolios.
    • Using ongoing research make recommendations regarding the appropriate improvements on solutions to ensure market dynamics are considered and effectively applied.
    • Create awareness of the OBI philosophy across MMI in order to foster greater understanding and buy-in to the philosophy.
    • Ensure that the portfolio management and risk management processes are applied.
    • Foster effective working relationships and collaborate within the CoE, segments and external stakeholders in order to identify opportunities for investments.
    • Monitor measure, attribute and report on the performance of solutions to ensure the product is managed relative to the outcome defined.
    • Assist with the analysis and explanation of performance variances.
    • Ensure asset allocation views are implemented and aligned according to the OBI view.
    • Build broad base financial models to support business decision making and determine potential financial consequences of investment decisions.
    • Identify and develop independent research techniques to enhance research output.
    • Engage with key internal and external stakeholders to identify changing client needs and make recommendations to align service offering with client needs.
    • Manage a client service excellence culture which builds enduring relationships and allows team to provide exceptional client service.
    • Deliver on agreed deliverables made with clients and stakeholders in order to ensure that client expectations are managed.
    • Build and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
    • Positively influence and participate in change initiatives.
    • Continuously develop own expertise in terms of professional, industry and legislation knowledge.
    • Contribute to continuous innovation through the development, sharing and implementation of new ideas.

    Learning & Development Practitioner

    Role Purpose    

    • Partner with various stakeholders to develop tactical plans and implement the learning objectives that enable business performance.

    Requirements    

    • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or Learning Development or related field.
    • OD-ETDP (Occupationally Directed Education Training Development Practice) certification.
    • Skills Development Facilitator certification.
    • 3-5 Years learning & development experience.
    • Exposure to the investments industry (preferred).
    • Exposure to the Mpowerred system (advantageous)
    • Knowledge of adult learning principles, traning and development
    • Knowledge of digital training solutions, product and systems training
    • Knowledge of managing bursary and other learning programs
    • Knowledge of BBBEE Audit processes

    Duties & Responsibilities    
    INTERNAL PROCESS

    • Engage and partner closely with various stakeholders to assess learning needs, develop recommendations and implement learning interventions to improve the performance of individuals, teams and the business results.
    • Create, collate and analyse key learning metrics to deliver insights to the learning team and key business stakeholders to inform the learning agenda.
    • Evaluate and analyse data to drive continuous improvement, measure learning effectiveness, identify emerging risks and take appropriate action.
    • Partner with Human Capital teams to drive integration of learning and human capital initiatives. 
    • Measure impact of learning interventions aligned to desired business and performance impact.
    • Stay up to date on emerging trends within the Learning and Development space to ensure that appropriate learning approaches and interventions are deployed.
    • Effectively lead, direct, coach and mentor others on how to design and deliver effective learning solutions that maximise performance.
    • Effectively manage interactions with stakeholders including setting expectations, holding meetings, balancing priorities and on-going project updates.
    • Translate strategy into appropriate learning plans to address identified learning and business needs.
    • Plan the execution and delivery of learning interventions whilst ensuring the availability of resources, business priorities, timelines, business readiness and regulatory requirements.
    • Utilize performance consulting to clearly define desired business outcomes and advise when training is the right solution.
    • Plan, schedule and manage operational activities of learning team to ensure the effective delivery of learning events aligned to the learning plan.
    • Provide guidance, support and coaching to employees to address development and performance needs in consultation with the HC business partners.
    • Address escalated queries and act as moderator of assessments and learning events. 
    • Ensure the execution of learning events is aligned to learning plans, objectives and standards to drive a consistent learning experience.
    • Explore and implement digital development solutions and platforms through which growth can be facilitated.
    • Ensure the the successful development and submission of the Workplace skills plan and Annual training report in consultation with key stakeholders and human capital business partners.
    • Assist and guide steakholders with WSP and ATR

    CLIENT

    • Build and maintain relationships with clients and internal and external stakeholders.
    • Deliver on expectations of clients and internal and external stakeholders. (where relevant in consultation with the HC business partner)
    • Contribute to creating a learning culture.
    • Continuously monitor turnaround times and quality standards of learning interventions and resolve issues speedily to enhance client service delivery.
    • Drive client service delivery goal achievement in line with predefined standards in order to ensure that steakholders receive appropriate advice and service.
    • Manage client query processes and ensure that queries are tracked, accurately resolved and used as a mechanism to improve client service and business processes in partnership with HCBPs.

    • Together with the bigger HC team, create a positive work climate and culture to energise employees, give meaning to work, minimise work disruption and maximise employee productivity.
    • Identify learning opportunities that will improve our skills score on the BBEEE scorecard.
