    Specialist Purchasing Planning & Admin

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

    The above position exists in the PUD Commercial Division responsible for OE Parts. The incumbent will be responsible for the functions listed below:

    Optimum Component and Raw Material Sourcing

    • Analyse and create cost estimates
    • Develop global understanding and expertise of relevant component sources
    • Sourcing to be in line with TSAM preferential suppliers, prioritising BBBEE compliant suppliers

    Cost Management

    • Analyse and create cost estimates to ensure best cost to TSAM incl Benchmarking
    • Identification & follow through of manufacturing improvements, cost reduction and localisation ideas/potential
    • Regular presentations on Suppliers cost reduction activities as well as plans to achieve targets

    Project Management

    • Creation of detail activity plans, regular follow up & reporting on progress
    • Lead cross functionally studies,  ensuring project milestone achievement (Cost & timing)

    Supplier Management, Governance & Administration

    • Represent TSAM as the key Commercial window
    • Undertake a Project Approach to all Commercial aspects of the Purchasing function
    • Utilise broad analytical knowledge in order to prepare Budgets, accruals & other related commercial items
    • Ensure all company policies & procedures are adhered to (Compliance)

    People development & adhoc functions

    • Act as mentor/coach to selected individuals ensuring required skill level knowledge transfer
    • Support/Act in surrounding posts when required

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Minimum NQF 6 (Engineering/Commercial/Supply chain)
    • Computer Literacy: Microsoft Systems and SAP
    • Preferred 3-5 years Purchasing experience (Automotive/Manufacturing)
    • Project management experience

    SM Regional External Affairs

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

    • Systematic analysis of current external issues in KZN related to Industry, Regulatory, political &Fiscal,
    • Sakiyomi: Foreseeing, anticipating, reading and analysing future external issues in KZN related to Industry, Regulatory, political &Fiscal,
    • Regular and proactive identification of shifts in the external environment.
    • Regular & proactive future trend identification.
    • Impact analysis with quantification of identified movements and trends in the external environment.

    • Ensure that TSAM proactively engages with key stakeholders in the KZN region.

    • Act as TSAM liaison between Provincial and Local Government, business forums, industry bodies, and academic institutions.
    • Represent TSAM at various special interest group events.
    • Facilitate Provincial, Local Government and City engagements with TSAM Exec.
    • Liaise with Business Planning department to prioritise issues.
    • Develop advocacy strategies in response to prioritised issues in the KZN region.
    • Ensure internal consensus ‘one voice’ regarding prioritized issues.
    • Advocate TSAM position on issues in the KZN region.
    • Actively seek opportunities to showcase TSAM and elevate TSAM corporate reputation
    • Develop the skill and competencies of team members through O.J.D
    • Coach & mentor junior team members.
    • Responsible for team leadership and performance management.
    • Regular benchmarking to incorporate best practice.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Minimum 3 year B degree (NQF 6 (360 credits) on level 8 framework)
