    Intern - Centurion

    Minimum Requirements    

    • A Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 qualification.
    • Completed a Bachelor’s
    • Candidate must be between age 18 – 35 years.
    • Candidates need to be fluent in English and/or Afrikaans.

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Exposure to effective management of all incoming and outgoing medical aid correspondence.

    Internal Auditor - Centurion

    • The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Business in minimising risks to the company and achieving the company’s strategic objectives. This ensures that effective controls are in place and adhered to.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Grade 12; PLUS
    • Completed Internal Audit degree or commercial degree.
    • 1 to 3 years of experience in a Medical Aid Scheme environment is advantageous.
    • 3 to 5 years of internal audit experience is required.
    • IT audit experience will be advantageous.
    • Knowledge of ISO 9001 will be an advantage.
    • Computer literacy: MS Office package and knowledge of all relevant operating systems

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Conducts ISO 9001 audits, ensuring compliance with the company’s quality management system.
    • Plan and execute audits according to the approved Internal Audit plan.
    • Execute the audit program to determine the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls.
    • To identify and recommend improvements in internal controls and value-addition opportunities.
    • Day-to-day planning of audits, developing internal audit scopes and objectives, performing internal audit procedures, and preparing reports that reflect the work results.
    • Performs follow-up on the status of outstanding internal audit issues.
    • Assist with forensic investigations externally and internally when required and extracting data.
    • Provide new employees with training on the company’s quality management system and forensics when required.

    Compliance Office (Investments) - Newlands Cape Town

    Job Advert Summary    

    • Provide legal and compliance support as a senior resource within the governance team on CIS and investment management matters. We are looking for an individual who is able to take the lead compliance related matters with a pragmatic approach to systems and processes and knowledge of the South African financial services regulatory environment.

    Minimum Requirements    
    Ideal experience:

    • 3-5 years in legal/compliance role in a financial services environment.
    • Exposure to asset management and/ or ManCo.
    • Knowledge of key Acts: FAIS/CISCA.

    Ideal qualification:

    • BComm Honours / law degree/ compliance related qualification.
    • BusSci degree in Portfolio Management would be an advantage.
    • Cat II FAIS registered CO/ CO for ManCo.
    • Member of CISA- C (Prac) advantageous

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Advise management in respect of implication and consequences of business decisions in the Collective Investment Scheme/Asset management area.
    • Liaise with management regularly on compliance issues.
    • Liaise with Trustees of the PPS Manco Scheme.
    • Monitor PPS Portfolio’s; Wrap Funds; Discretionary Fund Models (DFM’s), CIS and Regulation 28 analysis and reporting. Knowledge of Statpro monitoring system or similar post trade portfolio software.
    • Assist with due diligence in relation to off-shore funds.
    • Provide reporting to various company boards, risk and audit committees, PPS Group and regulatory bodies where applicable.
    • Investigate and oversee asset management breaches (post trade compliance).
    • Liaise with Regulator in assisting with FSCA applications and any correspondence with regards to agreements, addendum's and supplemental deeds.
    • Fulfill an advisory role for new business initiatives and projects.
    • Review Minimum Disclosure Documents (MDD’s) and other marketing material and submit to the FSCA.
    • Manage Assistant Compliance Officer (CO) and provide supervision where applicable to trainee compliance officer’s.
    • Maintain knowledge staying abreast of industry and regulatory changes.
