    Road Operations Manager

    • We are seeking a Road Operations Manager with a strong understanding of the side tipper business and a proven track record of success in managing subcontractors. As Road Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our side tipper transporters, including scheduling, dispatch, and performance monitoring.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of our fleet of side tippers
    • Schedule and dispatch side tippers to ensure timely delivery of materials
    • Monitor the performance of side tippers and subcontractors
    • Identify and implement process improvements
    • Manage relationships with subcontractors
    • Resolve customer issues
    • Prepare reports and presentations
    • Stay up to date on industry trends and regulations
    • Detailed analysis of transporter cost, budget targets and performance
    • Identify new transporters to onboard
    • Ensure and implement SOP’s and processes to ensure efficient transport operations
    • Problem solve deviations from planned vs actual

    Minimum requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Logistics, or a related field – is preferred
    • 5+ years of experience in the side tipper industry
    • Proven track record of success in managing subcontractors
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    Senior Safety Officer

    • To assist the manager with the day-to-day management of all health and safety compliance matters. Hold the legal appointment in terms of the MHS Act regulation 2.17.1 (Appointment of Safety Officers). Carry out all duties and functions of the Safety Officer as contemplated in the MHS Act regulation 2.19.1.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Effective implementation and monitoring of all safety process
    • Participate in internal risk assessment process
    • Conduct inspections to determine and improve level of compliance to health and safety regulations
    • Investigate accidents and incidents
    • Inform stakeholders with regard to the status of health and safety at the Mine
    • Accompany the inspector of Mines during compliance inspections on the mine and participate in DMRE enquiries
    • Participate in SHE related meetings; safety awareness campaigns
    • Gather input/data for SHE reports and statistics according to organisational requirements
    • Conduct internal audits according to organisational procedures and legislative requirements
    • Maintain the SHE Risk Management System according to organisational requirements
    • Log inspections, incidents, accidents, and audits
    • Effective Contractor safety management
    • Emergency Preparedness and response

    Minimum Requirements:

    • National Diploma in Safety Management (NADSAM) or equivalent in Occupational Health & Safety
    • 2 to 3 years’ experience in Plant and Open Cast mining environment
    • Risk Assessment Training
    • Environmental Awareness Training Course
    • COMSOC I & II (Advantage)
    • Competent A Certificate (Advantage)
    • Advanced computer literacy
    • Accident investigations (ICAM/RCAT)
    • First Aid Training
    • OHSAS 18001 auditing skills (advantageous)
    • Sound verbal and written communication skills in English
    • Able to work under minimum supervision

    Administrator - Training

    • As an Administrator in the training department, you will be responsible for supporting the smooth operation and delivery of training programs within the organization.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Keeping a schedule for trainers
    • Compiling training reports (PowerPoint presentations)
    • Proving training material needed by trainers (copying and binding)
    • Making copies and filing of completed assessments (filing systems)
    • Communicating with external service providers (getting quotes and scheduling of training sessions)
    • Maintaining of training database
    • Printing of certificates for signature
    • Sending completed documents to the relevant sites (signed certificates)
    • Liaising with site personnel with regards to training needs for scheduling of trainers

    Minimum requirements:

    • A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or a related field
    • 2 to 3 years of experience in an administrative role within a training, HR, or educational setting
    • Familiarity with LMS or other training management software is advantageous
    • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
    • Ensuring accuracy in records, reports, and communications
    • Ability to work collaboratively with trainers, trainees, and other HR personnel

    Key responsibilities:

    • Road Transport Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports on various road transport activities, including daily road movement from multiple sites, load tracking and route optimization
