    Internal Auditor - Centurion

    • The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Business in minimising risks to the company and achieving the company’s strategic objectives. This ensures that effective controls are in place and adhered to.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Grade 12; PLUS
    • Completed Internal Audit degree or commercial degree.
    • 1 to 3 years of experience in a Medical Aid Scheme environment is advantageous.
    • 3 to 5 years of internal audit experience is required.
    • IT audit experience will be advantageous.
    • Knowledge of ISO 9001 will be an advantage.
    • Computer literacy: MS Office package and knowledge of all relevant operating systems
    • Knowledge and experience using CAAT (Computer Assisted Audit Tools)- IDEA, ACL, QlikView, and SQL will be advantageous.
    • Candidate must be willing to travel to Botswana
    • Valid SA passport.

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Conducts ISO 9001 audits, ensuring compliance with the company’s quality management system.
    • Plan and execute audits according to the approved Internal Audit plan.
    • Execute the audit program to determine the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls.
    • To identify and recommend improvements in internal controls and value-addition opportunities.
    • Day-to-day planning of audits, developing internal audit scopes and objectives, performing internal audit procedures, and preparing reports that reflect the work results.
    • Performs follow-up on the status of outstanding internal audit issues.
    • Assist with forensic investigations externally and internally when required and extracting data.
    • Provide new employees with training on the company’s quality management system and forensics when required.
    • Provide sound advice regarding internal controls and offer guidance to enhance controls.
    • Conduct regular, risk-based compliance monitoring to ensure appropriate levels of compliance are maintained.
    • Report monitoring conducted to PPSHA Management per engagement.
    • Track, report, and manage compliance incidents and risk issues and report to Group Compliance and Executive: Governance, Audit and Forensics.
    • Conduct an annual risk assessment.
    • Draft, compile and facilitate new risk assessments of an area per the PPS risk process and loading on CURA for PPSHA and the clients.
    • Facilitating the identification & assessment of risks
    • Drafting risk-related reports as required and requested.
    • Any ad-hoc requests as required.
