    Administrator: Parts - Vereeniging

    Main Purpose

    • This position will be suited to an experienced person who has the ability to be a Parts Admin computer literate in knowledge of Kerridge, ETKA and be able to build and maintain good relationships with the relative stakeholders.

    Specific Role Responsibilities    

    • Capture parts transactions on the Kerridge accounting system and the original equipment manufactory system called ETKA
    • Ensure fast moving parts order is automated by the systerm 
    • Ensure stock levels are maintained for availability purposes to be distributed to internal customers
    • Pick parts accordingly, and issue to technician timeously as per job cards
    • Provide advice and report on transactional and process activities within set guidelines to provide timely information for decision making.
    • Order parts not kept in stock once authorised by Service advisor.
    • Accurately reconcile transaction records of parts, products and accessories in order to enable verification of the validity of transactions.
    • Adhere to legal compliance to the FICA regulation, POPI Act, Customer Protection Act, Health and Safety requirements 
    • Resolve workshop complaints, ensuring problems are addressed in a timely and accurate manner
    • Monitor and report on trends and anomalies in respect of parts, products and accessory consumption and make recommendations for improvement 
    • Contribute to a culture of customer service excellence, which builds positive relationships & provides opportunity for feedback & exceptional service.

    Qualifications and Experience    

    • 3 years Parts Warehousing Experience essential
    • A minimum of Grade 12.
    • Computer literate in Kerrdge.
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Relationship management, peers, staff, suppliers and OEM
    • VWSA, ETKA experience will be preferable
    • Must be able to start immediately.

    Position Overview    

    • The purpose of the position is to inspect and examine damaged vehicles as well as accurately and timeously determine required repairs and the related costs whilst adhering to administrative requirements and agreed standard operating procedures.

    Specific Role Responsibilities    

    • Examine damaged vehicle to determine extent of structural, body, mechanical, electrical or interior damage.
    • Using standard repair and parts manual to estimate the parts require to repair the damage to the vehicle.
    • Using standard parts costing manuals to provide written estimate of total cost of vehicle repair.
    • Evaluate the financial practicality of the vehicle repair comparing it to the payment of the financial value of the vehicle before the accident.

    Job Description    

    • Motus Hino Parow currently has a vacancy for a Specialist: Technician Service.

    Reporting to the Manager: Service, the primary purpose of this position is to repair and / or service of commercial motor vehicles according to dealer / distributor's standards and specifications in the most productive way.

    Specific Role Responsibilities    

    • Repair and servicing of vehicles according to dealer / distributor standards and within the flat rate
    • Establish parts required for service / repair to be performed and ensured correct parts are ordered          
    • Report to Service Foreman promptly on any additional work required                                        
    • Obtain authorization prior to carrying out any additional work                                              
    • Advise Management prior to fitting any major parts outside the norm for routine servicing / repair         
    • Obtain technical information from Service Foreman on problem jobs                                   
    • Adhere strictly to technical specifications as laid down by manufacturer, or as instructed by Management
    • Adhere to laid down workshop policies and procedures                                                          
    • Note the description of all work performed on the back of Repair Order if required            
    • Place all used parts in plastic bag, except oil & fuel filters, and place on passenger floor         
    • All warranty replaced parts to be tagged according to laid down rules, and handed to Parts Dept.             
    • Ensure all oils and parts used are booked out on Repair Order                                               
    • Ensure vehicle is kept as clean as possible, and use all protective items supplied

    • Ensure time started and completed are entered on Repair Order (Clocking)                        
    • Report any faulty and / or broken equipment is reported to management
