    Business Analyst - Centurion

    Role Purpose    

    • To perform business and system analysis tasks through specialization in understanding the business usage of Information Technology (IT) and data and helping technology add value to the Momentum Investments Institutional Data Management and Reporting Capability. To transform business requirements (functional & non-functional) into a set of technical software requirements that specify the data solution. 

    Requirements    

    • BCom Informatics, BSC, Information Technology or related degree.
    • Relevant Business Analysis qualification/certification.
    • 3+ year’s experience in business analysis.
    • Proven experience in implementation of large or complex projects.
    • Exposure to/experience in the investments/financial industry will be an advantage.
    • SQL knowledge a must.
    • Experience working in Agile environment. 

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Conduct business analysis in line with business requirements:
    • Gather and interpret requirements from key stakeholders/customers in line with business analysis frameworks.
    • Analyse and understand the business requirements and through a structured process document, validate and translate these into requirement specifications and functional specifications to be used by developers in crafting technical solutions.
    • Contribute to translating the business goals into design in line with systems architecture. 
    • Ensure the quality delivery of requirements and business process specifications that meet the agreed deliverables in line with best practices and business process.
    • Participate in the solution design process to make recommendations to create and enhance solutions that are innovative, re-usable and sustainable and solve complex business problems. 
    • Participate in testing and guide users to ensure that the designed solution ultimately meets business requirements.
    • Define the success criteria using scenario testing and test cases to ensure that testing covers all aspects of the business specification.
    • Test and validate the functionality of all technical solutions in line with business requirements on completion of development to ensure that business requirements are met in the implemented solutions.
    • Define reporting requirements and integration points on affected components using, amongst others, diagrammatic representations.
    • Keep abreast of latest IT trends and practices to optimise service offering and minimise risk.

    Human Capital Business Partner (Fixed Term Contract) - Centurion

    Role Purpose    

    • Partner with business and leadership to inform and implement the Human Capital agenda that enables business objectives and goals aligned to the Human Capital strategy.

    Requirements    
    Qualification and experience: 

    • Bachelors degree in HR, Social or Behavioural Sciences or equivalent
    • 3-5 years Human Capital Partnering or HR advisory experience across the HC value chain.
    • Experience in the insurance industry (preferred).
    • Employee Relations experience
    • Knowledge and/ or experience in dealing with drafting and submissions of WSPs and ATRs.

    Duties & Responsibilities    
    INTERNAL PROCESS: 

    • Engage and partner with business to understand their needs to develop and implement integrated tactical and operational people plans and Human Capital solutions in response to business and people challenges.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders, Human Capital, Group and Human Capital Enablement to develop and implement initiatives aimed at optimising and managing organisational design, organisational effectiveness, employee engagement and retention.
    • Partner with Human Capital teams to deliver effective, efficient, integrated and value added Human Capital solutions to business in line with business needs.
    •  Drive the implementation and adoption of various Human Capital practices and processes using various tools such as facilitating sessions to educate employees and line managers on these practices.
    • Promote efforts to measure employee satisfaction and climate within supported client groups, and facilitate action planning to improve employee engagement and overall workplace culture.
    • Advise, coach and support managers on the wide range of staff leadership activities, ranging from the design, implementation and leadership of change programmes.
    • Implement leadership development initiatives in partnership with OE, OD and L&D, to empower and enable leaders across business and actively management of leadership development programmes.
    • Identify training and development initiatives to address any learning or development challenges in line with business needs.
    • Influence key business decisions to ensure the effective management of employees through the fair, efficient and pragmatic application of best practice.
    • Guide and provide input on business unit restructures, organisational design elements and manage the organisational change.
    • Provide leadership, consultation and advice to business in the areas of workforce planning, talent management, succession planning, recruitment, onboarding, performance management and retention to align the needs of the business to the workforce.
    • Act as trusted advisor ans expert on people management to employees and managers across the employee lifecycle.
    • Support business in the implementation of people practices in line with People Strategies and the operational needs of the business.
    • Utilise trends and metrics to develop, optimise and implement Human Capital solutions that address key business challenges and drive business objectives.
    • Keep abreast of industry trends and best practice to optimise service offering, ensure compliance and mitigate risk.

    Tax Administrator x2 (Temporary) - Centurion

    Role Purpose    

    • This twelve (12) month contact position in the Momentum Investments Operational Tax team will be responsible for tax query resolution, tax compliance and reporting, as well as assisting in relevant tax projects.

     

    • The position is based in our head office in Centurion where you will form part of a dynamic, high-performing business team, with the ambition to strategically improve our business.
    • The ideal candidate will bring energy and enthusiasm to learn and to challenge existing solutions and processes.

    Requirements    

    • BCom degree – Finance, Management accounting, Audit or Taxation.
    • SQL writing advantageous.
    • Minimum of 3 years experience, ideally in a Corporate (Financial, Investments or Tax) environment.
    • Good understanding of the ITA, TAA and supporting guides is advantageous.

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Investigate and process manual break out procedures and events.
    • Take ownership of the recon controls, checks and balances.
    • Root cause error investigation and correction of any discrepancies in the system.
    • Process mapping and documentation.
    • Identify tax risks that could impact the company directly or indirectly and escalate accordingly.
    • Provide system/process support.
    • Investigate and identify requirements to address process or system constraints resulting in repeated queries and/or errors.
    • Process documentation and training documentation for internal staff
    • Work actively with the Tax Specialist to clarify technical rules and regulations published for a smooth implementation.
    • Gain an understanding of the business in which we operate and the tax implications per product range.
    • User Acceptance Testing of solutions, business and technical processes and calculations.
    • Keeping up to date with changes to legislation relating to the Income Tax Act and advising business on the practical impact of the changes.
