    Transhipping and Distribution Manager

    Purpose of the Job

    • To ensure that transport vendors, which are critical to Engen's supply chain, are paid timeously and accurately and according to specific contractual terms. To oversee the Transhipping and Distribution (TD) account’s payable function and maintain and implement enhancements to the relevant systems with the objective of ensuring the completeness and accuracy of all accounting records and adherence to company policy

    Planning And Scheduling

    • Forecasting schedule depicting per location the product 
    • Daily progression sheets per storage facility indicating available inventory, planned receipts and daily demand balance to requirements (7 days)
    • Daily Delivery schedule by depot indicating requirements by:-    Product/ Customers/ Quantity/ Resources 
    • Replenish Order creation Point-to-Point on time and correct. Business continuity. Relevant to rail, road and pipeline, submitted within SLA.
    • Convert Forecast to Replenishment Plan for weekly cycles
    • Monitoring of Ops notices and react to plan immediately when available
    • Nil penalties incurred, demurrage and vehicle standing time due to planning errors  
    • Monthly report indicating:- to plan Depots stocks equal inventory targets e.g. 7 days at all storage facilities at the most economic level:- Standards

    Depot daily feedback indicating that the schedule met all requirements:-

    • Daily report indicating supply met the demand 100%
    • Accommodation balances with other oil companies managed daily and repayment plans agreed with the Supply, Trading & Optimisation Department on a monthly basis
    • Manage the Banking Principle monthly balances with host or detents at plant level and ensure balances are always positive. 
    • Communicate stock balances to all oil companies involved at plant level  
    • Economically efficient application of transport modes and depot inventory infrastructure
    • Setting of inventory targets per locations and per geographical area
    • Monthly report indicating depot stock levels vs planned stock levels with various analysis
    • MS support.
