    Regional Engineer - Rustenburg

    Job Description    

    • Appointed in terms of the Occupational Safety and Health Act for SHE responsibility for the Northern Cape, and therefore, responsible for carrying out safety audits, and planned job observations to ensure adherence to World Class Standards.
    • Assists the Regional Manager in the management of existing supply contracts, the compiling of tenders for new business and has input into the preparation for annual price negotiations. For customers within the region.
    • Responsible for the preparation and delivery of the defined areas of sales, profit, operating and fixed costs budgets and meet set targets as stipulated.
    • Responsible for accurately forecasting the customer requirements for the area and planning the manning and resources for sites to meet variable customer demand and ensure that sufficient stocks of raw materials are on hand.
    • Required to identify customer needs and recognize opportunities whereby creative and innovative solutions can be formulated to mining and blast engineering problems which includes the management of key account strategies ensuring the customer needs are supplied on time and in the quantities required to meet blasting schedules.
    • To structure and manage all project work, trials and conversions so that bottom line benefit is delivered to the customer and deliver reports within the agreed timetable indicating the Rand value to the customer of identified opportunities.
    • Required to implement and manage the World Class system at all sites, as well as SABS ISO 9000 / ISO 14001.
    • Administers Company industrial relations procedures to all subordinates (staff and payroll) and encourages healthy interpersonal relations and teamwork by ensuring the subordinates are trained to their maximum potential and motivated to provide the required service, both technically and commercially.
    • Required to conduct regular quality audits and planned job observations to verify the quality of the final product and pumping techniques, to check the quality of raw materials, as well as the calibration of equipment and efficiency statistics.
    • The incumbent must be able to relate to customers at all operational and management levels
    • The incumbent must have knowledge of all AECI Mining products and services
    • Computer literacy

    Qualifications & Experience    

    • Mining Engineering degree
    • Explosives Engineers certificate and knowledge of all AECI products and services.

    Job Description    

    • Making a batch according to the manufacturing instruction, closely monitoring the resin manufacturing process and taking samples at appropriate times and performing analysis on these samples.
    • Responsible for all product dispatches, including loading, offloading, packaging, drumming, etc.

    Credit Application Administrator - Chloorkop

    Job Description    

    Vetting:

    • Maintain credit limits by reviewing on receipt of request for credit limit increases.
    • Process credit limit review on .NET for authorisation.

    New Accounts:

    • Receive credit applications and process for approval.
    • Open new accounts accurately in Syspro with approval.
    • Receive and process requests for opening of new Co-Op sub accounts and COD accounts in Syspro
    • Ensure credit limits are reviewed annually.
    • Ensure all documentation is received timeously and accurately.

    General:

    • Attend to client and Crop Advisor queries relating to credit vetting process.
    • Prioritise tasks in order of priority
    • Regularly communicate with Credit Controllers and Management regarding credit vetting concerns.
    • Assist with management of and adherence to overall internal control structures implemented by the company.
    • Participate in external year end audit and internal audits in the manner prescribed on a timely basis.

    Qualifications & Experience    

    • Matric / Grade 12 with tertiary qualification of a diploma relating to Credit Management or NQF equivalent.
    • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in a financial credit vetting environment.
    • Must be able to deal with difficult customers and ableto keep calm under pressure.
    • Knowledge of SHEQ Management Systems requirements/standards advantageous.
    • Computer literate with MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook) at the intermediate level
    • Possess sound working knowledge of Syspro.

    Quality Control Manager - Modderfontein

    Job Description    

    • Provide technical support as required within allocated areas of operations, including but not limited to:
    • Experimental design, experimental testing, plant investigations and reporting
    • Input raw materials and components through the development of and compliance to the schedule of analysis
    • Supply development, supplier quality management systems and quality of raw materials
    • Serve as the quality custodian for allocated areas with respect to implementation, maintenance, improvement and auditing of the AEL quality management system rooted in ISO 9001

    Qualifications & Experience    

    • Eng. Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Equivalent/Relevant tertiary qualifications
    • At least three (3) years relevant experience is required (preferably explosives manufacturing)
    • Working knowledge of all legal and safety requirements, e.g. Explosives Act, OHS Act, and Factory / Departmental Regulations
    • Knowledge of good explosive practices is necessary
    • Knowledge and understanding of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing or similar manufacturing philosophies
    • Knowledge of Industrial Relations Procedures
    • Good understanding of the AEL quality management system and ISO 9001
