    Technician: UPS and Inverters (Bloemfontein)

    Job Purpose:

    • The Technician is responsible for servicing, testing and repairs of inverters, mainboards and UPSs, and/or other related equipment and components depending on the requirements of the position. The technician also provides technical support to customers relevant to the specific area/discipline.

    Responsibilities:

    • Follow the correct test process for all products.
    • Complete 6 repairs per day according to the specific discipline.
    • Maintain work rate at above 90% of SLA as per described SLA for the products 2 business days.
    • Maintain a rework rate of below 2% of SLA within a 90-day period between barcodes.
    • Keep all notes up to date and inform clients of progress on repairs.
    • Keep work areas clean at all times.
    • Ensure compliance with environmental, OHS and safety, including quality standards set forth by the company and comply with PPE regulations.
    • Have no test stock outstanding for more than 6 business days.

    Requirements

    Qualification and Experience:

    • Matric
    • CompTIA A+
    • N3 electrical engineering or equivalent 
    • 2years experience in repairing/installing of inverters

    Skills and Knowledge:

    • Good knowledge of general administrative and internal processes
    • Knowledge of ICT industry
    • Must have strong electrical background as well as able to assist with repair of printers
    • Product offering software and hardware technical knowledge
    • Basic computer literacy especially in Microsoft applications skills

    Administrator: Supplier Claims (Cape Town)

    Job Purpose:

    • The Supplier Claims Administrator is responsible for the ordering of parts, and for the return and administration of faulty stock, which includes warranty stock as well as out of warranty stock. Work to solve problems quickly, maintaining a friendly and professional attitude. Strive to provide customers with the best experience possible.

    Responsibilities:

    • Return customer stock to local suppliers.
    • Writing off non-warranty stock.
    • Log calls on the ASP website, ordering parts as requested by the Technician.
    • Send quotations to clients and follow up on outstanding quotes.
    • Return warranty stock to ASP.
    • Control DOAs and claims.
    • Ensure proper tracking of and follow up of all submitted claims.
    • Assist Sales staff with information required for client queries.

    Requirements

    Qualification and Experience:

    Pre-Technical Sales Support: Sustainable Energy (Cape Town)

    Job Purpose:

    • The pre-technical sales position provides pre-sales technical support to customers relevant to the Sustainable Energy as well as assisting Sales department with related enquiries. The pre-technical sales will also be responsible for confirming specifications on, inverters, batteries, solar panels and various accessories in the Sustainable Energy portfolio. Update specifications sheets and user manuals. Help present training to the sales force on the Sustainable Energy portfolio and attend various shows.

    Responsibilities:

    • Consult effectively on specific products and help with Bill of Materials for solar options based on the client’s requirements.
    • Visit local suppliers to discuss improvements or accompany external sales executives on visits to clients with the purpose of presenting/demonstrating specific products.
    • Conduct demonstrations or training of products and features in-house.
    • Keep abreast of latest developments within product range.
    • Provide pre-sales customer technical support, either via e-mail, telephonic or at the front desk.
    • Complete Bill of Materials for pre-sales queries.
    • Maintain specification sheets on the various products.
    • Ensure various items, communication cables, power cables are still correct interface between products.
    • Maintain a close relationship to service department to ensure failure rate remains low. 
    • Communications with suppliers for technical support and additional information. 
    • Follow up with clients awaiting feedback and updates on pre-technical sales queries.
    • Help maintain demo stock list and is returned when complete.
    • Communicate with clients in a friendly and professional manner as representative of Mustek.
    • Maintain a professional image with the necessary attention to being clean and neatly dressed.

    Requirements
    Qualification and Experience:

    • Matric
    • Electrical Engineering N6 / Bachelor of Technology or similar Electrical / Mechanical Qualifications 
    • 5 years’ related experience in electrical industry
    • Solar installation experience
    • Experience in working with batteries. Lead acid as well as lithium
    • Valid driver’s license

    Skills and Knowledge:

    • Understanding of the basic principles of lithium batteries, BMS limitations and BMS communication
    • Understanding of electrical regulations such as the South African National Standards (SANS 10142-1 (Edition 2)
    • Knowledge of electrical / renewable industry
    • Product offering software and hardware technical knowledge

    Sales Assistant (Cape Town)

    Job Purpose:

    • The Sales Assistant is responsible to meet the administrative requirements and deadlines of specific accounts thereby enabling the Sales Executive to focus on external requirements such as client visits. Responsible for liaising with customers as and when necessary, ensuring an uninterrupted sales process and maintaining a high level of service.

    Account Manager: Public Sector (East London)

    Job Purpose:

    • The Account Manager: Public Sector is responsible for uncovering new sales opportunities across the full spectrum of Mustek Eastern Cape’s sales portfolios. They will be responsible for promoting and selling Mustek’s products and services to Mustek’s resellers and engaging with end user public sector and academic customers to uncover opportunity and to ensure that they are aware of the Mustek offering.

    Responsibilities:

    • Identify client markets and design a sales strategy to fit each client's requirements.
    • Advise on forthcoming product developments and discuss special promotions.
    • Provides customers with necessary product support and basic technical support.
    • Build relationships with customers through regular communication via e-mail, phone and visits.
    • Attend product training programmes and know the relevant product range.
    • Maintain records of new customers, potential customers, deleted customers and changes in the region or sales environment to ensure cost effective coverage of the territory.
    • Ensure attainment of monthly sales targets including YTD targets.

    • Respond to messages received through e-mail or telephone. Take steps to ensure messages are being responded to when not available.

    Requirements

    Qualification and Experience:

    • Grade 12/Matric
    • Tertiary qualification in sales and/or marketing will be advantageous.
    • Driver’s license
    • 3 years’ experience in a sales target driven environment, within ICT would be an advantage
    • A minimum of 3 years sales experience to the Eastern Cape Public Sector is essential
