    Job Description    
    Provide software solutions to facilitate the design and deployment of control equipment that will enable the organisation to achieve global leadership in the field of electronics blasting systems.  This will include the following tasks:

    • To develop and write, components and interfaces, as required.
    • To keep abreast of global developments in embedded firmware, software and internet technology and to provide direction with regard to software development.
    • To integrate the software/firmware development with the business strategy, customer requirements and electronic detonator chip technology development.
    • To assist the installation and commissioning of new firmware/software into client sites and to interface and satisfy clients in this process.
    • Create system, test and technical specifications for new products.
    • Qualifications & Experience    
    • Eng. (Computer) / BEng (Electronic) / BSc. Eng. (Electronics) / Equivalent
    • At least 5 years’ experience in the skills listed below:
    • C development experience
    • Firmware development experience in C
    • Software architecture experience
    • Ability to read/interpret schematics and debug embedded platforms
    • Familiarity with software revision control systems and code review techniques

    Magazine Driver Assistant - Mankwe

    Job Description    

    • Ensure correct orders are loaded as listed on the generated declaration of dangerous goods document by magazine master.
    • Ensure that drip trays are used all the time when transferring any means of product to avoid soil erosion and water pollution, that spilled product is collected to plastic bags and disposed as per company standard.
    • Assist magazine master with stock replenishing.
    • Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering OTIF simultaneously building AECI’s good image to the customers.
    • Ensure loading of explosives is in accordance with Explosives Act and Regulations.
    • Ensure that monthly checks on magazine fire extinguisher is carried out and signed for inspection.
    • Maintaining the good housekeeping of Magazine area and maintaining the AECI standard procedures and policies.

    Qualifications & Experience    

    • Grade 12
    • Possession of a valid Magazine Masters’ Certificate.
    • Basic management skills.
    • Valid Code C1 (10) drivers’ licence.
    • The applicants must be able to obtain a Red Ticket and a PrDP.
    • Computer literacy – Excel and Word progressing to using SAPR3.
    • Basic stock control or similar experience would be a recommendation.
    • Must be able to obtain First Aid and Fire Fighting Certificates.

    Job Description    

    • Category management of raw material for the company
    • Assist Business Unit & Product Managers on their demand planning needs to determine optimal inventory ordering requirements, in line with company’s inventory policy and objectives.
    • Raise Purchase requisition orders through ERP system, and converting these to purchase orders.
    • Gathers information on material availability, and determines the reliability of suppliers, their products and services. Where necessary, facilitate the recommendations and approvals for new or alternate sources of supply
    • Provide feedback to stake holders on raw material cost management, and forecast costs for manufactured products

    Job Description    

    • Responsible to formulate project budgets, review all tenders, selection of tender proposals and generate EP proposals for approval.
    • Manage projects from inception to commissioning and deliver projects on time and within budget.
    • Review and approval of project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans conferring with management and other operational departments in order to achieve project outcomes and ensuring no disruptions in plant production.

    • Transfer technical knowledge and skills to Production and Engineering teams and to ensure upgraded systems can be maintained and that the required support services are readily available.

    Qualifications & Experience    

    • B Tech Degree, Higher National Diploma or tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering
    • Project management qualification
    • Sound knowledge of Process Control Logic systems software and be able program and maintain such systems
    • At least 5 - 8 years’ experience within a chemical manufacturing plant or industrial environment
    • Proven experience in management of projects in a multi-disciplinary environment
    • Sound knowledge of engineering principles and standards
    • Sound knowledge and understanding of managing performance within a project environment

    Supply Chain Manager - Umbogintwini

    Job Description    

    • Accountable and responsible for the effective management and control of all inventory on site through alignment and communication between planning, production, warehouse and QC departments.
    • Oversee and manage every stage of production manufacturing, from purchasing of raw materials to the delivery of final product, through Integration of all key personnel in the Supply Chain to work together to provide an effective customer service.
