    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • To manage pre-and-post transactional requirements for all specialist trade deals, ensuring the relevant control frameworks / standards are in place and the trade life cycle is monitored to ensure contractual obligations are met and risk is managed. Manage and lead teams to deliver on requirements and goals.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Business Commerce degree or related

    Experience

    • Previous Corporate Banking experience within trade operations or relevant transaction management units.
    • Trade services experience and knowledge, including Back to Backs, Open Account Trade Finance, Risk Participation, Trade Loans, Exchange Control and Escrow accounts. Experience and knowledge of Trade loans and commodity finance
    • Experience in leading and managing teams, building and maintaining relationships within and outside of the organization.

    Officer, International Trade

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • Responsible for the operational take on and due diligence checks for all client requests and documentation received to ensure a state of operational readiness for trade processing, in accordance with international standard banking practice, rules and regulations with a view of avoiding reputational and financial risk for the Standard Bank Group

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Institute of Banker Certificate, Certified Documentary Credit Specialist (CDCS) and/or Certificate International Trade Finance (CITF)

    Experience

    • Experience with spot transactions, forward exchange contracts, options, swaps, foreign currency accounts, Nostro and Vostro accounts, exchange rates, balance of payments, exchange control, Nostro/Vostro reconciliation, SWIFT concepts, trade finance.
    • Have knowledge and experience of Trade products (Letters of Credits – Standby/Commercial/Revolving, Open Accounts), Sanctions/compliance.
    • Experience with all relevant publications governing Letters of Credit such as International Standard Banking Practice, Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits, International Standby Practices, Uniform Rules for Bank – Bank Reimbursements, International Commercial Terms (Incoterms) and ensure correct application of these rules
    • Good knowledge and understanding of Exchange Control, a basic understanding and application of the Exchange Control Rulings to ensure 100% compliance.
    • Good knowledge of AML procedural requirements.
    • A good knowledge of treasury products and services.
    • Sound understanding of OFAC and TRC and its relevance to all products.
    • A good understanding of operational risks associated with outward payments. Sound understanding of SWIFT.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • To execute the strategy and drive the implementation and adherence to the compliance and risk policies and procedures in order to reduce risk and meet regulatory compliance.
    • To drive the implementation of the Commercial Property Finance (CPF) strategy within Operations Shared Services in order to realise the strategic objectives of achieving the market share for Commercial Property Finance.
    • To drive the execution of pricing arbitration to retain business and achieve profit targets.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Qualifications

    • A Business Commerce degree and a Project Management qualification / certification would be required for this role.
    • Six Sigma Green Belt certification will be required but will also be offered while in the role.
