    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Agricultural Diploma/Degree advantageous
    • Any previous piggery work experience advantageous

    Senior Diesel Mechanic - FM001919

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Qualified diesel mechanic and or trade test certificates
    • Minimum 5 to 8 years practical diesel mechanic experience on a farm
    • Relevant certifications in vehicles, implements and equipment repair.
    • Proven experience as a mechanic with knowledge and experience in diagnosing and repairing various types of vehicles, implements and equipment, including trucks (Fuso), tractors (John Deere/ Case/ New Holland/ Deutz/ Flat), vans, telehandlers, gators, JCBs etc.
    • Strong knowledge and experience of diesel and gasoline engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and vehicle diagnostics
    • Within 6 months, properly know and apply all operating equipment and vehicle manuals.
    • Ability to schedule and prioritize repairs and maintenance to ensure minimal downtime for farming operations.
    • Professional and safe use of a wide variety of tools and equipment for vehicle, implement and equipment repair works.
    • Welding and fabrication skills for modifications and repairs
    • Knowledge of safety regulations and practices, and accordingly create a safe working environment for all employees.
    • Ability to accurately follow environmental and safety standards regarding toxins.
    • Strong problem-solving ability to diagnose complex mechanical problems and solve them quickly and effectively.
    • Creative solutions to restore older or self-made farm equipment.
    • To be able to give training and guidance to junior mechanics and assistant mechanics.
    • Strong leadership qualities and must be able to work very closely in a direct team with the rest of the farm.
    • Daily accurate record keeping and supply to managing director and designated farm manager of general mechanical practice in farming.
    • Daily inspection of all agricultural vehicles and equipment, the ability to recognize mechanical problems immediately and act preventively, in order to prevent further damage.
    • Maintain detailed reports of maintenance and repairs for each vehicle, implement or equipment on a daily basis.
    • Good computer skills
    • Ability to explain complex technical problem to non-technical personnel.
    • Physical fitness and stamina to be able to do physical tasks, including lifting heavy parts and equipment.

    • Must be prepared to execute implemented systems, established channels and related administration on a daily basis.

    Contract Manager - FM001920

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    •  Degree or Diploma in Road Transport or Logistics or a Degree in Management with financial electives
    • 5-7 years' experience in a Logistics and Supply Chain management environment
    • 1-2 years for the most complex task (strategic planning focuses on the next year's activities)
    • Knowledge of Logistics and Supply Chain Management
    • Experience in finance and financial analysis
    • Knowledge of logistics equipment and the associated maintenance requirements
    • General knowledge of the operations and configurations of mechanical vehicles
    • Knowledge of general expense management / budgeting
    • Human resources management skills
    • Relevant written and verbal contracts / service level agreements

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

     Financial

    • Compile and present annual budgets and periodic forecasts
    • Measure monthly performance against budget
    • Ensure all administrative functions are conducted within the prescribed deadlines
    • Strict cost management
    • Screen all suppliers by comparing costs, quality products and BEE
    • Authorize and submit cash book payments so that the costs are correctly allocated
    • Report weekly on projects contract revenue, kilometres and profits

    Operational

    • Effective management of organisational assets and resources
    • Develop and maintain procedures which relate to day to day operational requirements
    • Maximise asset utilisation
    • Day to day management of vehicle maintenance and tyres
    • Daily load planning and feedback

    Customer relations

    • Effective customer relationship management
    • Monthly KPI reporting and operational feedback
    • Identification and implementation of cost saving initiatives for the customer
    • Audit the quality of service provided through personal interaction with the customer on an ongoing basis and timeous corrective action is taken when required

     SHERQ

    •  Identify, implement and maintain site/ depot specific requirements as per legislation, policy and customer requirements
    • Manage and control all assets that are acquired and disposed of according to the relevant procedure and ensure accurate recording
    • Management of safety, health, environment and quality
    • Implement and manage an effective SHEQ system addressing all safety risks
    • Develop a Workplace Skills Plan by assessing the development and training required by subordinates
    • Enforcing adherence to legislation, policies and procedures
    • Establish and maintaining a safe working environment for staff
    • Accident and incident investigations and reporting
