Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 and relevant technical qualifications or certifications in engineering or a related field
• Proven experience in managing a workshop environment, particularly in the electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical power management sectors
• Strong background in automation, motor control, SmartWire-DT, command and control, data networks, and circuit protection
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges
• Proficiency in using workshop management software and tools
• Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards in the industry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the workshop, ensuring efficiency and productivity
• Manage and coordinate a team of technicians and engineers, providing guidance and support
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all equipment and machinery
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
• Monitor and control workshop budgets and expenses
• Liaise with clients to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure high standards of workmanship
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of workshop activities and equipment
• Manage inventory levels, ensuring the availability of necessary parts and materials
• Coordinate with other departments to facilitate smooth workflow and project completion
• Provide training and development opportunities for workshop staff
• Maintain accurate records of all workshop activities, including maintenance logs, work orders, and inventory records
• Ensure timely completion of all projects and repairs, meeting client expectations and deadlines
• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continually improve workshop operations
