Job Advert Summary

• To undertakes planned and unplanned maintenance work on plant equipment, carries out maintenance schedules, carries out standby duties, conducts risk assessments for work to be carried out, ensures the Electrical Engineering K.P.Is are met. Training of Learners [Apprentices & Student on attachment] and Handyman. To assist and implement projects.

Minimum Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

• S4/N6 Light Current, Instrumentation or Equivalent
• Valid driver’s license

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE

• 5-year plant experience in a heavy milling industrial environment
• Basic knowledge of LV/MV electrical equipment and reticulation systems will be an advantage.
• Experience plant instrumentation temperature, flow, level, position, pressure, and energy metering.
• Programming and fault finding on Siemens S7 PLCs and HMIs
• Wonderware AVEVA and Intouch SCADA platforms.
• Working knowledge of power electronics
• AC/DC Drives (ABB, Yaskawa, SEW and Siemens).
• Networking: ASI, Profibus, Fiber and Ethernet
• Experience in high-speed process (Bulk loading, Packers and palletizers)
• Calibration and Verifications methodology of instrument, mass flow meters and weigh bridges
• Working knowledge of dust emission monitoring and dust collection.
• Computer Literate – MS Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams, etc.
• Fault finding on Hydraulic systems.
• Basic knowledge on Solar energy production and RMU switching devices.

Duties and Responsibilities
DUTIES

• Customer service
• Optimise asset performance and work order control on ONKEY.
• Fault finding and maintenance of plant (Instrumentation and electrical)
• Plant Safety & Regulations
• Adherence to systems and authority levels
• Legitimacy within area of responsibility (OHASA / MHBA)
• Standby Duties and shift. 30min to get to work on a callout.
• World class availability, reliability and serviceability of plant measurement, instrumentation, automation & control systems
• Achieve acceptable service quality.
• Comply with all approved business processes and Engineering Standards.
• Comply with all relevant legislative standards.
• Optimise relevant in-house measurement, instrumentation, automation & control systems
• Optimise asset usage (availability & reliability
• To ensure high standard of customer service to both internal and external customers

Satisfy customer needs.

• No valid customer complaints or stock outs.
• Adhere to minimum engineering standards and apply best practices.
