Team Leader Collections: Rental Finance (Sandton) at Capitec Bank

Purpose Statement

• To enable and optimise delivery of debt management and control in terms of collection by leading the Rental Finance Collections team to deliver and maintain functionality which is aligned with business requirements across the bank in terms of compliances to the banks’ collections and recoveries policy 
• Improve CRF rehabilitations and stop accounts rolling to NPL
• Manage the collections team

Experience
Minimum:

• 1 - 2 years Recoveries / Collections experience within a financial services / business bank / retail environment 

Ideal:

• 1 – 2 years in precious team leader/first line supervisory roles would be advantageous (includes acting team leader/ manager experience 

Qualifications (Minimum)

• Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational

Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Credit Management or Commerce

Knowledge
Minimum:

• Knowledge and principles of collections and recoveries
• Understanding of the debt management environment
• Business principles (to be able to have conversations with business)

Ideal:

• Previous knowledge of Capitec Bank services, products, policies and procedures will be advantageous
• Knowledge of Leadership principles 
• Previous experience within Business Banking and or Rental Finance environment 
• Knowledge and understanding of legislation applicable to financial institutions
