    Social Marketing Manager- Midrand

    Dis-Chem Pharmacies in Midrand has an opportunity available for a qualified Social Marketing Manager. 
    You will be responsible for the planning and reporting of social media that drives customers to the Dis-Chem Groups websites/ecommerce’s platforms through all social channels. Innovation is required for all social channels, to stay on trend with the followers on the various platforms and ensure high engagement and even greater followings. The aim is to be top of mind in the consumers mind through these channels as well as to gain new customers and reach different audiences. Creating strategies to ensure that development and execution of social campaigns to increase brand awareness and preference, generate qualified leads, increase online and offline sales, and deepen customer engagement with Dis-Chem

     

    Minimum Requirements

    Essential:

    • Grade 12 – Matric or Senior Certificate
    • Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma /Certification in Marketing, Social or related field.
    • 3 years progressive Social Marketing experience required

    Advantageous

    • Minimum 3 years of Marketing Project Management experience


    Job Description:

    Social Media:

    • Oversee the social media strategy for the Dis-Chem Group
    • Understanding of user-design, graphic design and interface principles and responsive and mobile design.
    • Ability to interpret and apply brand standards to social marketing initiatives.
    • Deep interest in keeping up with social trends that can positively impact our business.
    • Create new pages and manage existing content on social channels
    • Manage social co-ordinators within team and external agencies to ensure that campaigns are executed on time and effectively
    • Manage social budgets and retainers
    • Ensure social channels are being used effectively
    • Implement communication strategies as outlined by the Group Communications Marketing Manager
    • Experience with Customer Relationship Management Systems.
    • Audit existing digital channels and processes and suggest improvements.
    • Respond to customer services inquiries and reviews via internal (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, etc.) online platforms.
    • Keeping abreast of developments in web and multimedia design and communication and digital design tools and techniques

    Tracking and Performance Management

    • With the support of the media team, review marketing and campaign performance and report to the internal team on effectiveness
    • Make prescriptive recommendations for optimizing the performance of marketing and advertising initiatives
    • To work closely with the Group Marketing Communications Manager to ensure all campaigns are streamlined and aligned to the business strategy

    Team Management:

    • Social Media Marketing - keeping the team aware of advancements/exploring social media opportunities, monitoring of activity, paid media management, content/campaign creation, trend analysing, issue resolving.

    • South African
    • MIE, clear criminal and credit
    • Driver’s license and own reliable transport
