    Senior Specialist: Business Development (Hyundai Head Office)

    Specific Role Responsibilities

    Process

    • Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities in order to ensure the acquisition of new business.
    • Appoint and identify new business and franchise opportunities.
    • Build and maintain a sufficient and adequate new business pipeline in order to achieve revenue budgets.
    • Conduct research and gather data to provide input to operational reporting and decision making processes.
    • Conduct research to identify new opportunities/technologies which could result in better operational processes.
    • Define standard operating procedures (SOPs).
    • Maintain records of customers, accounts, and other prospect customers to enhance sales opportunities.
    • Manage customer pricing to achieve maximum profits.
    • Manage customers, commercial and key accounts through timely follow-ups.
    • Provide specialist advice to enable planning for value-added process improvements, initiatives and services.
    • Provide specialist advice to identify and develop solutions to improve quality of processes and services

    Finance

    • Achieve organisational revenue targets.
    • Adhere to organisational policies and procedures to ensure cost effectiveness and reduction of financial wastage related to materials or equipment.
    • Negotiate customer pricing within set guidelines to maximize profitability.

    Client

    • Deliver services and/or products that create a culture which aims to meet or exceed customers' expectations in the business.
    • Build and maintain relationships with clients, and internal & external stakeholders in order to meet revenue budgets.
    • Build sustainable relationships with customers that contribute to a culture of customer service excellence.
    • Manage all customer communication including resolving queries and all other customer related issues with in the required time frames
    • Resolve customer/client problems with the necessary discretion and guidelines.

    People

    • Attend learning initiatives to improve work quality and enhance own skills.
    • Own and live up to company values.
    • Participate and provide expertise to a culture of work centric thinking, productivity, service delivery and quality management.
    • Participate in forums/discussions that positively contribute to knowledge improvement.
    • Provide advice and support with the management of change and offer operational support where required.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Advanced diploma in Business Studies
    • MBA in International Business Management advantageous
    • 3-5 years of experience in a similar environment, of which at least 1 - 2 years' specialist experience
