An International opportunity with a Petroleum company exists for a Senior Lifting Equipment Engineer in Qatar - to provide Corporate governance for the integrity of lifting equipment/operations and gas cylinders to ensure that associated risks are managed as Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP) and in compliance with statutory requirements, mandatory regulations , technical standards and good engineerig practices.

QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:-

• BSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably with Chartered Engineering Status or equivalent
• Minimum 12 Years relevant post graduate experience of mechanical equipment operation, inspection, maintenance and certification, with minimum 8 years in oil, gas and petrochemical related industries , with emphasis on lifting equipment and gas cylinder operation
• Certification by Lifting Equipment Engineers association would be advantageous
• In depth knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards for inspection, testing and certificate of LE
• Highly computer literate and proficient in data analysis and management
• Good report writing skills and a good verbal and written command of English
