Senior Lecturer/ Programme Co-Ordinator: Finance and Accounting - Roodepoort at IIE MSA and IIE Varsity College

Duties and Responsibilities:

Lecturing

• Lecture on the Postgraduate Diploma in Finance and Accounting (CIMA affiliated) and the Bachelor of Accounting programmes  across various modes of delivery.
• Mark assessments and provide feedback to students in subjects lectured. May be required to internally moderate assessments scripts that fall within their subject fields,  across IIE sites of delivery.

Academic Development and Support

• Develop academic material and assessments for selected modules on the Postgraduate Diploma in Finance and Accounting.
• Assist in lecturer development and support processes and procedures. This may include conducting peer reviews, facilitating workshops and one-on-one consultations.

Programme Co-ordination

• Manage and lead the Postgraduate Diploma in Finance and Accounting on all sites of delivery.
• Track student success on the Postgraduate Diploma in Finance and Accounting and implement support interventions where required. 
• Manage the relationship between the IIE and CIMA.
• Perform the Head of Programme role for the Central Academic Team (CAT) role for the Postgraduate Diploma in Finance and Accounting.

Research & Scholarship

• The incumbent is required to promote a culture of scholarship within their practice, discipline and campus/team and is also required to contribute towards The IIE’s Varsity College achieving its annual research output targets.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

• Masters in (NQF Level 9) in Accounting/Finance AND/OR CA(SA) or CIMA. 

Minimum Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years Teaching and Learning experience, preferably on a CIMA or SAICA accredited programme. .
• Must have an understanding of the current regulatory framework and its impact on higher education and private colleges.
