Senior Cloud Specialist, Software Engineering at Standard Bank Group

JOB DESCRIPTION

Develop fully functional applications across all platforms that are in line with current technologies and standards and publish them to the relevant platform to enhance the functioning and experience of employees.  Develop specifications that support the design, coding, building, assembling, configuring, implementation, testing, data conversion as well as documentation and enhancements for the team and users of solutions.  Software Development primarily on C#, Web and back-end development using latest javascript frameworks primarily Angular, RESTFul Web API Development.  Setup CI processes and deployment packs and conduct/participate in reviews of specifications.  Train/provide information to production support on how to support the system and knowledge sharing through demos, wiki and any other mechanism.  SOLID, TDD and BDD practices, develop technical support documentation with agreed standards, evaluate and review programming methods & tools as well as provide guidance and assistance to colleagues in any aspect of program design, creation, testing and documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications:

• BSc (Computer Science or Information Systems) and/or any other IT related qualification.

Experience:

• 8-10 years development experience, 2-3 years web development using JavaScript frameworks.
• 5-7 years Devops on-premises and in the Cloud at an enterprise level.
• AWS / Azure Certification; Docker; Kubernetes; Continuous Integration/Deployment/Delivery toolsets; Monitoring toolsets; C#; Html; Css; JavaScript; Angular; SQL (relational databases).
