    Sales Team Leader Direct Channel (Commercial Fuels and Lubricants)

    Summary of Role

    The main purpose of the role is to drive successfully sales growth and deliver the ambitious business plan which will position Astron Energy as key significant player in the market by 2024 and beyond. The STL’s role will be to manage, coach and develop a team of Account Managers whilst driving the implementation of the new Commercial Fuels and Lubricants customer strategy (focus on larger accounts) in addition to overseeing the business transformation initiatives that will be driving growth agenda, which will require a great deal of change management.

    Responsibilities

    • This is a high profile position which requires strong and visible leadership to engage sales, Supply Chain, Credits leadership and other stakeholders to ensure seamless CVP delivery to Fuels and Lubricants customers.
    • Bring strong people leadership and sector expertise to the position – is recognized as an industry and channel specialist.
    • To lead, manage, coach, motivate and inspire a sales team consisting of Account Managers, servicing Fuels and Lubricants Customer Portfolio.
    • Maximize time spent coaching and joint prospecting to develop sales team into world class sales professionals.
    • Develop and maximize Revenue and Margin for new and existing customers in line with HES and Business policy & principles.
    • Deliver agreed Sales and Marketing Action Plans and shadowing top 10 customers & prospects. • To assist the formulation and implementation of the Marketing Strategy.
    • Ensure operational excellence and high customer satisfaction.
    • Significant change management is required as AE migrates to a new way of doing business. • Business case driven and stretch goal oriented while constantly challenging the cost of how we do things.
    • Directness: Confront underperformance (no "sugar coating") and reward candor.

    Qualifications

    • Degree majoring in Marketing/Sales and Commerce.
    • At least 5-10 years of experience with a demonstrable track record and skills/experience in Sales and Marketing.
    • completetion of of Influencial Leaders Programme / Supervisors Essesntials or similar will be advantageous.
