Purpose of the Job

• To conduct and provide engineering support to ensure safe, reliable and legally compliant operation and equipment.

Who You Are:

• You have worked in a Petrochemical industry
• Must have ability to work successfully in an ever-changing environment and navigate ambiguity
• Must have networking and relationship building skills
• Must have good communication skills

What you’ll have done before:

• NQF Level 6 (in Mechanical Engineering discipline)
• 5 years' experience in administration of maintenance activities
• Deep knowledge in Petrochemical industry specifically engineering portfolio
• Ability to work in a plant/manufacturing environment

Advantageous:

• B-Tech in Mechanical Engineering

What you’ll be doing:

• Participates in developing the maintenance budget to support the maintenance strategy 
• Provides engineering input to work packages to ensure standards are followed
• Provide Technical Finding to Planner
• Provide input and technical assistance to Do Maintenance
• Develops maintenance operating discipline
• Provide equipment reliability and performance data to the technical resource networks
• Serves as a subject matter expert in equipment failures and repair techniques during root cause investigations 
• Acts as an OPU focal person for applicable regulatory requirements and standards
• Provides technical expertise to facility personnel
• Foster and sustain effective working relationships and rapport with all stakeholders
• Communicate, interpret and adhere to Engen's Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) policies and Zero Tolerance (ZeTo) rules
