    Retail Diversification and Marketing Manager

    Job Description
    Shop Food, and Services:

    • To monitor the competitor’s market and activities (Fuel, Food and Nonfood retail), and to provide monthly updates on customer and Customer Value Proposition Trends during the Commercial Performance Meeting
    • To develop, communicate and implement SFS strategies with regards to food and non-food offers, concepts, supply chain activities, digital offers and category management and to diversify the offer as well as the business
    • To manage end-to-end SFS processes to ensure abovementioned strategies are correctly implemented
    • To manage the SFS business model and improvement thereof in terms of Operating Efficiencies, Income Opportunities, KPI (Development and Management) and maximizing dealer and TotalEnergies's profitability
    • Ensure consistent ranging, layout, offerings and SFS HACCP compliance throughout the network.
    • To manage relationships with all relevant stakeholders and various committees and represent activities at a senior level
    • To perform regular economic and offer analyses of the pertinence of the SFS and adapt the offer thereto
    • To perform weekly site visits on TMSA retail sites as to monitor performance and to give operational guidance

    Loyalty and Click & Collect 

    Development of TotalEnergy Loyalty Strategy in collaboration with other departments.

    • To developing and execute a progressive and competitive TMSA-own Customer Loyalty Strategy/Program as to ensure customer retention and growth for retail
    • To export existing loyalty program opportunities as to extract best value and increase customer loyalty to TMSA
    • To develop and follow up of a Click & Collect offer in TMSA retail with other departments
    • To define the offer and the strategy of the Click and Collect Program

    Retail Marketing and Promotions 

    To co-ordinate all marketing activities and communications to TotalEnergies Retail Service Stations across all retail business streams in collaboration with Corporate Communications and Marketing.

    • To manage all communication and marketing plans aligned to brand strategy as well as in line with the shop and diversification offer
    • To implement and execute all promotional activity, enhance brand visibility below the line in collaboration with Corporate Communications and Marketing.
    • Develop Customer Digital Database

    Offer and Diversification Development:

    To manage the development of new concept strategies for implementation in the Retail and Commercial business in respect of:

    • Shops Norms and Standards
    • Follow up of the Mobility Shop program implementation in collaboration with the Retail Technical Division
    • Diversifications for Shops (Branded and non-Branded)
    • Café Bonjour
    • Quick Service Restaurants (QSR)
    • Car Wash Strategy
    • Workshops
    • High Street Brands
    • To analyse all offer developments and present an economic study thereof and for each pilot before implementation; to prepare an investment proposal with the economic profitability thereof and circulate it to the Retail Divisional Committee
    • To manage & sign off all new Offer development Diversification Investment projects, ensuring that all norms are adhered to and to proceed to their validation by the Retail Divisional Committee
    • To work closely and transversally with other relevant departments and divisions as to establish new concepts and to insure and follow up their operational implementation on a deadline
    • To manage relationship with all stakeholders including High Street Brands such as Spur, Famous Brands, etc. (list non-exhaustive) at senior level

    People Management

    • To effectively manage employees through applying the company People Management principles, and to develop, coach and mentor subordinates to promote a positive working environment which will attract and retain skilled staff and increase productivity
    • To animate and motivate the team and to be able to manage arising conflicts in the team
    • To ensure critical skills and positions are identified
    • To ensure succession plan is in place for direct reports, and update job descriptions at least every 2 years
    • To ensure the annual employee review process includes a review of employee career plan and development plan

    HSEQ

    • To ensure constant adherence and compliance to company HSEQ and company and security standards, local by- laws, standards and legislation so as to minimise all risk pertaining to company assets and protection of life
    • To ensuring all preferred suppliers adhere to Total’s HSEQ requirements, policies & procedure Governance:
    • To ensure effective risk management and internal control, including asset management, for area of responsibility
    • To ensure direct reports understand and comply with Procurement policy and procedures, and that non-compliance to procurement procedures will be addressed
    • To liaise on a monthly basis with the SFS team at the TotalEnergies AFR Level

    Candidate profile
    The jobholder is responsible for category management, supplier management and data base management to contribute to realizing the dry stock business model

    • Competition Law; bi-laws and regulations within FMCG environment
    • Ensuring that Total SA is using the most effective, sustainable and efficient systems, tools and processes with regards to payment on the Retail Forecourt as well as across all Commercial business.
    • Manage all stakeholder relationships and optimize the partnerships which in turn will deliver innovative solutions.
    • Health and Safety Compliance
    • Appropriate Marketing Degree or Diploma (M+3). An appropriate MAP advantageous.
    • 10+ years of experience, of which 5-7 years must be experience in Retail or related is indispensable.
    • At least 3 years ISIS/ESO working experience
    • Special knowledge in Supply Chain / Distribution Management, Category Management and FMCG
    • Capacity to work on multiple projects simultaneously and to insure their operational implementation on a tight deadline
    • Special Skills in data base management. In depth ISIS/ESO knowledge (including ISIS data base management) Successful completion of dealer and category management training
    • Good negotiation, presentation and people development and interpersonal skills
    • Competent in leadership, analysis, and communication
    • Knowledge and application of TMSA's Code of Conduct/ Ethics and TSA policies and procedures advantageous English is the working language)
