    Regional Accountant

    Position Summary:

    The Regional Accountant performs day-to-day general accounting, reporting, transactional activities, and analysis for the region. The Regional Accountant will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, conducting financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies, with strong attention to detail. The Regional accountant is also involved in process improvement initiatives maintaining financial integrity and support decision-making processes and other non-routine assignments and projects, supporting the Regional Finance Manager in region.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Project Accounting

    • Works collaboratively with Regional Finance Manager and client facing teams to maintain accurate project and opportunity financial information in real time to ensure data integrity. Duties include but are not limited to assisting with project set up, project budgets and resource engagement, revenue recognition, revenue forecasting, billing schedules, identifying variances, and verifying that project expenditures are properly recorded.
    • Manages and issues client invoices for fees and expenses as appropriate.
    • Performs regular and periodic general ledger activities including, but not limited to, posting journal entries, ensuring accuracy, calculating accruals and deferrals, performing balance sheet reconciliations, and analysis.
    • Review and analyze monthly results and assist in the preparation of monthly or ad-hoc presentation materials.
    • Maintain documentation of current controls, processes, practices, and workflows.
    • Recommend accounting process and workflow improvements.
    • Participate in special projects to improve process efficiency and performance.
    • Actively and daily interaction with client facing teams to improve cash flow through Accounts receivable monitoring.
    • Manage and respond to client accounts inbox queries for the region.
    • Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
    • Manages the collection, analysis, and translation of financial and operational data into usable, actionable metrics using key performance indicators, analytics, reports, dashboards, etc.
    • Support the RFM with external and/or internal audit engagements, including preparing audit materials, responding to inquiries
    • Prepare presentation materials for Management, Boards of Directors, Townhalls and other region events.

      • Understanding of US GAAP; exposure to IFRS
      • Able to anticipate, identify, resolve and effectively communicate financial issues
    • Technical Skills
      • Proficient in ERP system; able to learn and work in various databases and systems, in particular Dynamics D365, SAP and Power BI.
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Data Analysis
      • Able to interpret data, and provide commentary on impact of insights gained from data analysis
