    Qualitative Research Analyst

    The Injini Qualitative Research Analyst is responsible for researching, collecting, analysing, interpreting and presenting data related to company operations and the EdTech market in Africa internally and, on occasion, to external parties. 

    They will support the Head of Research in EdTech ecosystem mapping work while also applying specialised education expertise to the continued development and maintenance of tools and resources for Injini’s “EdTech Open Source Curriculum” for early-stage EdTech entrepreneurs and will contribute on the development of other practical, targeted resources to be published by the Injini Think Tank, aimed at early stage EdTech entrepreneurs.

    Further responsibilities will include:

    • Researching and analysing qualitative market trends for the benefit of Injini portfolio companies and the wider EdTech ecosystem;
    • Implementing beneficiary focus groups and interviews for Injini and portfolio companies;
    • Detail methods of data collection and analysis;
    • Present and interpret research results to senior management and client;
    • Propose and lead bespoke research whereby African-specific EdTech insights and data are shared with our ecosystem via publications in newsletters, blog posts and academic journals - helping to position Injini as a thought-leader in the sector and continue strengthening its reputation with other education stakeholders.

    CONTRACT DETAILS

    • Full-time, permanent position (after three month probation period, on a fixed-term contract initially)
    • Commencement: Mid-May to 1 June or immediately where possible
    • Remuneration: Competitive market related salary for non-profit benchmarking, starting at R240,000 per annum, negotiable dependent on candidate’s prior experience and overall alignment with the role
