Procurement Clerk at Weir Minerals

Job Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications & Minimum Experience

• Minimum Matric or Grade 12. Related tertiary qualification advantageous. One to two years relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Key Tasks

• Answering telephone calls with etiquette
• Attending morning meetings and taking minutes
• Placing orders with suppliers
• Follow up on outstanding orders
• Source quotations from suppliers
• Completing credit applications
• Assist with paperwork for creditors department
• Assist and stand in for store person from time to time
• Maintain Supplier Price File on BAAN
• Keep stock of stationery and issue when necessary
• Keep all documents filed neatly, clearly marked, taking special care of confidential & important legal documents
• Assist with any other adhoc office requirements
• Adhere to all HSE and housekeeping requirements
• Adhere to Duty of Care Policy at all times

Minimum Skills/Abilities

• Advanced MS Office required
• Good communication skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
